Bright and cozy menemsha cottage
The Little House was built in 1960 as a one room studio/cabin. Since then a gourmet kitchen wing has been added, as well as a detached bunkhouse. The main structure has an open floor plan with bright living and dining room area with skylight and a woodstove, and a full kitchen with center island. Through a covered causeway is a large master bedroom with a queen bed, and just off the back, past the outside shower, a detached bunkhouse with a twin bunk bed, and double bed. The property is perfect for two couples or a family with kids.
While having an authentically vineyard feel, the Little House has been updated to meet the needs of our time, with a heat pump system (including in the bunk house) for cool or sultry nights, dishwasher, wifi and television.
The large deck is great for lounging but there is also a deeded right of way to Menemsha Beach (ten minute walk) . Lucy Vincent and Squibnocket beaches are ten minute drive away. (Beach stickers are available at the Chilmark Town Hall.)

The Little House was built as a guest house in 1960, beginning as one big room with a bath and a kitchenette, and over the years has added a fully applianced gourmet kitchen, a bedroom, and a detached bunk house with further sleeping capacity. It is compact but fully equipped for a relaxed vacation with quick access to the charms of Chilmark and Menemsha and all the down-island towns.
