My spacious air-conditioned 220 square metre / 2800 square feet, 3 bedroom apartment, is located in a traditional 1930's building, lovingly restored for modern living.
I designed it for families or friends travelling together to be able enjoy a luxury stay right in the heart of everything our amazing city has to offer.

My apartment, which is called Casa Almada, is totally private with a door entry system, and you will have the run of the place and not share anything with anyone else.

You will access the building from the street with an access code which takes you to the building stairs lined by traditional tiles taking you up to the fourth floor.

There is no lift but being on the top floor you get the most light and won't be troubled by noise from neighbours above you which is often an issue in older buildings here. The stairs also help you burn off the calories from the Pastel de Nata you will be eating from the local bakery each morning ;)

LISBON
Lisbon is a city that's always evolving.

Its exciting , dynamic, gritty, elegant, relaxed and energetic all at once - so there is something for everyone and suit the mood you wake up to each day.

Many restaurants in the vicinity cater for all tastes and pockets. Also several groceries and other stores in the surrounding streets including an amazing deli that sources products from the Azores.

GETTING AROUND / EXPLORING
Casa Almada is in the very centre of Lisbon Downtown, so you can enjoy the city on foot and won't need a car. Public transport and Uber / Bolt are available and are fast, cheap and ubiquitous.

If you feel like exploring further, maybe to spend a day at Cascais or Estoril beaches, with direct trains from nearby Cais do Sodré train station. Meanwhile the Metro stations of Terreiro de Paco (Blue line direct to the Zoo) and Baixa Chiado (Blue and Green lines) which are both 5 minutes away.

You could / should also get on board to cross the Tagus River to explore the apartment's namesake town, Almada.

Wonderful stay

Our family loved this rental. It is in a convenient location, and we highly recommend the tapas restaurant across the street (Prado). It was one of our best meals in Lisbon/Madrid. Joao did a great job checking us in and making suggestions for our trip. We have travelled a lot and this was certainly one of our favorite rentals.

Cool place to stay in the heart of Lisbon

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Susan's apartment. We found it very well situated, in walking distance of many tourist attractions with the famous tram 28 going by the building every day. The apartment was very well equipped with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever had on our holidays. As a group of 6, there was plenty of space for everybody to relax after a busy day around the town. Joao, who introduced us to the apartment was extremely helpful and went through the apartment with us and some of the ideas what to do or see in Lisbon. We all would highly recommend the place.

had a great stay in lisbon with a group of 6 of us staying for a wedding. susan was great to work with from start to finish - always available for questions. apartment was plenty spacious, nice touches like bottle of wine, etc. all beds were large king size and spacious. second bathroom was a bit tight and needs a little updating but nothing unlivable. apartment is on a 5th floor of a walkup building and the last set of stairs is a bit narrow but the only real challenge was getting the luggage up and down (this is true of most apartments in lisbon tho) easy walk to restaurants, shops, waterfront etc. would recommend to any big groups staying in lisbon!

The amenities and attention to detail in this apartment was amazing. Everything was well thought-out with everything you could possibly need from your stay including umbrellas and universal wall plugs! I love ritual products and was happily surprised that they had carried them as well! This truly is a luxury residence. The views from the windows in the living room and master bedroom were great for pictures of Lisbon's colorful buildings, red rooftops, trams passing by, and you're also able to see the "not" San Francisco bridge in the back. The location was perfect as its in the middle of everything and within walking distance to great food options, supermarkets, and transportation. Communication with the host for any trouble shooting and assistance was easy and quick. Based on this stay, I would definitely consider the host's other residences for future travel plans within/outside of Portugal.

Beyond awesome.

The location in the heart of old town Lisbon on a quite street that makes for very easy access to everything. Suzan's location on the 4 floor is a three bedroom suite that is understated in elegance and practicality. Creating from a deceptively simple space the perfect spot. Nothing has gone unattended. The kitchen and amenities are all in place with the beautiful sunshine of window light everywhere. Congrats to Suzan and her team for this creation. A perfect location with a perfect accommodation is hard to find anywhere. We are at her location in porto now and more on that later. Aside from incredible space, Suzan and her team were always available to us to answer questions and help with our visit in responsive and efficient way that was exceptional. I have personally stayed at many luxury accommodations and this one is at the top of the list for sure.

Amazing apartment in a fantastic location!

We (a family of 4) stayed for a wonderful 5 nights at this spacious apartment on our recent visit to Lisbon. The 3-bedroom apartment is in a central and convenient location that is close to lots of sights and restaurants, and shops. It is very clean and well kept with very comfortable furnishings and beds. We found it to be a reasonably quiet place/location for sleeping at nighttime. The tablet with all the instructions for the house, and recommendations of things to do, and places to eat makes it really convenient to have all the information you may need at your fingertips. Susan, the owner always was quick in responding prior to our stay, and provided us with lots of helpful information about our stay. Francisco welcomed us to the apartment and showed us around the place and made us feel at home. We walked to many of the Lisbon attractions, but it is also convenient to nearby trams to visit Belem, and the train to get to Sintra. There are so many fabulous restaurants in Lisbon all in a comfortable walking distance of the apartment. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisbon in this fantastic place and would definitely return to stay here again when we next come to Lisbon. We highly recommend it to others!

Very communicative hosts with incredible response time and a fantastic location. The building is a modernized 1930s walk-up (no lift)—so expect 80 stairs. Help with luggage was limited on arrival (possibly since we came by train vs. airport) but provided on departure when we booked airport transfer through host. Hosts did accommodated early bag drop off, which saved luggage storage—thank you! Some stairs have chipped marble/tile, (lost a luggage wheel). Apartment is modern and comfortable, though eucalyptus plants were tough for allergy sufferers. Furniture was nice, kitchen cute/functional, keypad controls for lights/AC great. Soft linens, but only one towel per person—dryer took 6 hours, a clothesline would help.Expect trolley noise when sleeping on sofa bed and some bright electronics at night. Overall stylish, convenient stay but plan accordingly for stairs – leave in the morning and return in the evening.

Incredible property

We have stayed at numerous properties all over the world, and this is by far the most luxurious and well appointed. The apartment was perfectly clean and oh so comfortable! We stayed here for the last "leg" of our trip and it was so lovely to have such comfortable beds and areas to relax! The location could not be more perfect and is so close to everything. Literally steps to churches, restaurants, trams, etc. We were welcomed via face call by the property manager and the owner was also extremely communicative. As is clearly advertised, the flat is on the fourth/top floor of the building with no elevator so this is likely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but we managed just fine. The home was accurately represented in the photos and we had a perfect time. The only small "issue" we had was that the ceiling shade would not work in one bedroom via the smart screen. It was not a huge issue for my youngest teen so we didn't bring it up, but may need to be looked at for future visitors. We had such an amazing time in Lisbon and this accomodation absolutely helped make our stay perfect. My family is now spoiled for future vacations, haha. I would 100% stay here again, and hope to in the future!

This apartment is a beautiful and comfortable! It’s in a great location that we could stop at mid-day for a refresh while touring the city. We had 4 adults so appreciated the 2 bathrooms both with double sinks, plus ample storage in the bedrooms. All rooms were spacious. Stop looking and book this place! I've already done all of the research for you when I planned a vacation to Portugal with our 4 teenagers. This place was phenomenal! Even my kids said it was the nicest place we have ever stayed and we travel a lot. Susan has thought of EVERYTHING. Large comfortable beds and pillows, A/C, giant TV in living room (and TVs in all bedrooms), games, automation everywhere including blackout blinds in the bedrooms. And keyless entry. I can't complain about a single thing at all. If I could give it more than a 5 out of 5 I would!

Five adults had plenty of room in this stylish apartment that had all the amenities we wished for. A great location for visiting the old town and on the #28 tram route. Great wine bar and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

When travelling I believe that paying to stay in a place is a real treat, and when you do so the very least that you should expect is for it to be as comfortable and clean as your own home, and hopefully even better, which for me means spaces that, as well as look amazing, also cover the basics that are so often missing such as huge beds with fine linens and 100% blackout for a great nights sleep, so it's these simple luxuries that I make sure to provide for my guests when I am hosting too.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location! You can't get a better location than Tv do Almada. Just up the road from the Cathedral and down to the Praca Commercio and all the downtown amenities and sights you will need in short walking distance.

What makes this property unique

I've filled the apartment with all the home luxuries that I like to enjoy - Air Conditioning throughout, Free Netflix on two big flat screens, Amazon Alexa with free Music Unlimited (40 million songs to stream for free), plus an Xbox One loaded with games and more. There are even some toys in the apartment for younger guests and family board games (Monopoly - Lisbon edition of course and Scrabble).
