Crags Lodge

Property and surrounding outside area was very nice. Was disappointed that there was no restaurant / bar / pool. VRBO said pool would be opening the day we arrived. Hotel staff were awesome- pleasant and helpful.

Amazing location, nice pool and hot tub and the staff were amazing! Mike at The View-attached to the hotel, was great also. This property manager never responded to my message though.

Nice Lodge

We had a nice time there - walkable to downtown. Condo was clean and perfect for our stay. One note in this particular unit is that we could not control the heat. But everything else was lovely.

Charming Lodge

We loved our stay at The Historic Craggs Lodge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The roaring fireplace in the main lobby area was great after a cold day of wine and chocolate tasting. It's off the beaten path but there was a great and inexpensive cab service that we used to get downtown. The view from our room was just amazing.

The lodge is beautiful. We loved the history and the historic feel of the building.

We loved the pool table, the games and puzzles to play and work on in the evenings. The s’mores at the fireplace were great. The room was perfect for our family. Very homey and comfortable. The only negative, which was minor, was the smell of the cleaner our first night. The smell was just strong for us. We were able to air out the room until it was time to go to sleep. It was fine after that. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would stay here again as well as recommend this lodge to others.

Great Christmas weekend stay

This historic lodge is very comfortable and staff is very attentive...we really appreciated Anne. The view from our room was beautiful as is Estes Park in general. Many nice restaurants in the area. We'll definitely be back.

Pleasant Family weekend

Very neat updated room. Friendly helpful staff. Master bed very comfortable. Pull out not so much. Pool and hot tub a hit with kids even in the wind and snow. 10 point buck outside window one morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient but secluded property

We had a pleasant experience at Crags Lodge though it was probably not the best choice in Estes for our family of four with two kids. This property is a timeshare which rents out unused rooms. It is billed as a Luxury 1BR condo, though I would call it more mid-range. I would recommend it for an older couple, as most of the guests appeared to be active seniors. My kids loved playing pool in the game room and used the pool once but I felt somewhat guilty having boisterous kids around other guests looking for a placid environment. The 1BR suite was very small but we appreciated having a separate bedroom and a fridge/microwave. The pull-out couch was a tempur-pedic and very comfortable. It is very difficult to get bags to your room using the luggage cart, as the hallway is narrow and has a sharp turn from the elevator (no porters). We stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot and it was usually quiet but loud when garbage was taken out to the dumpster right outside. Recommend odd-no. rooms on mountain side which overlook town. No a/c so windows must be open at night to get cool air in -- only ceiling fan in living room area, not bedroom. There is no housekeeping and only a mid-week towel change for guests staying over 5 days. There is a laundry room on the basement floor with one working washer and two dryers. Away from hubbub of Estes Park but only a short drive or good walk into town and on the park side of town toward RMNP. Restaurant and bar are managed separately. The catering hall-style restaurant was largely unused while we were there but summer Saturdays appears to be booked with weddings. No breakfast available onsite (though Estes has tons of good breakfast places), but appreciated coffee in the large and rustic lobby each am. We probably would have seen more value in a standalone condo rental, but our experience was fine. The front desk staff was professional and helpful.

Great stay

It is fun to see the history of this place. It is an older property but the rooms are updated and had everything we needed. We had some rain while there so we only briefly got to enjoy the hot tub, but we also enjoyed the pool table and DVD movies. The one bedroom condo was a bit tight for our family of four including two teenage daughters but we expected that and could have chosen for a bigger unit. The kitchenette was a big plus and we loved the view!!!

Family getaway

My husband and I stayed here with our two girls and we really enjoyed it. The room was a bit tight but we expected that based on other reviews. The staff was all very nice! It's very close to the downtown shopping area and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

Felt so homey!

Our family loved the location and the inviting "feel" of Craggs Lodge. Anne was such a sweetheart as well. She gave us tips on dining and hiking. The early morning we checked out, the gentleman at the front desk made sure to grab a pot of freshly brewed coffee for me to take a cup with me for my journey home! We will definitely stay at Craggs on our next trip to Estes Park!

Historic lodge had a lot of character. Enjoyed our stay

Our stay was great. The lodge was very historic and had that log cabin feel. There was a pool and great view of the mountains. We stayed for all in cost around $250. Definitely recommend.

Perfect

Perfectly met our needs, nothing too fancy but clean, cozy and historical. With all the hiking, rafting and exploring we did it was great space to rest up for the next days adventure. The pool area and access was definitely the kids favorite. I would recommend!

Beautiful and relaxing!

Everyone was so friendly. Room was much smaller than I expected from the pictures, but clean and very nice. There was a wedding going on when we stayed, so we did not use the facilities. Loved it though. Will definitely go back.
