The Old Tailor’s Shop is a delightful, Welsh cottage in the peaceful hamlet of Caerfarchell, in the the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with soft slate flooring throughout the ground floor, with exposed stone walls enhancing its original character. Spacious and light inside, the large kitchen/dining area with a vaulted ceiling, making it ideal for cooking and socializing.
The cottage is tastefully furnished with a spacious living room, the open plan kitchen and a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one double, and one twin bed room. Central heating, double glazing and a wood burning stove ensure the cottage is warm & cosy in the winter months. A stable door leads from the kitchen out to the charming, enclosed back garden, which has a central patio with garden furniture.
It is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful St Davids peninsula, being a five minute drive from the Cathedral City of St Davids and the pretty harbour village of Solva. There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the area and St Davids has a supermarket, delicatessen, pharmacy, butchers, fruit and vegetable shop and a Post Office.
The hamlet provides easy driving access to some of the stunning beaches in the area, Whitesands, Newgale, Caerfai & Broad Haven to name a few and the coastal path for walking. The former St Davids airfield, which is now a nature sanctuary is ideal for walking dogs and bird watching and only a ten minute walk from the cottage.
The cottage is ideal for couples and small families, with oil central heating, double glazing and the wood burning stove, making it snug out of season. The cottage overlooks the village green with a parking space directly outside for one car and roadside parking for additional cars opposite.
