About this property
Close to the Water, River Views, Ground Floor Access
Summary:
2 Dartview provides ground-floor accommodation for one couple or three guests. Inspiring river views across the harbour and over to Kingswear, the apartment is just a couple of minutes' walk to the riverside and the town centre, as well as being en route to Dartmouth's historic castle and the renowned South West Coast Path. Soft tones make for soothing bedrooms and crisp living spaces. You're steps away from ancient Dartmouth and the town's vibrant riverside. A parking permit's also included.
Accommodation:
A few steps up to the front door of the building leads to a communal hallway. The front door of the apartment opens into the open-plan living room, with a compact kitchen area featuring an oven, microwave, ceramic hob, and a fridge. The sitting area has two sofas, TV and DVD player, and a dining area set into the window with a lovely view out over the river.
At the rear of the property, there's the master bedroom with a double bed and built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom off the hallway has a single bed.
The bathroom includes the shower and also houses the washing machine.
There's central heating throughout.
Parking:
A car park pass is provided for use of the Mayors Avenue car park, which is a 2-minute walk away. The permit does not guarantee a parking space, and it can get very busy during the summer and special events, such as the Royal Regatta week (during which the car park is closed).
Nearby:
A flight of steps opposite the property will take you down to the river at Bayards Cove, this historic cobbled quayside was where The Mayflower stopped before departing for its journey to the Americas. At the end of Bayards Cove is the historic ruins of one of Dartmouth's sea defences and at the other end, you will find The Dartmouth Arms - perfect for enjoying a drink on the water's edge and some good pub food. On the south embankment, you will find a number of pubs and restaurants including The Seahorse and the Rockfish owned by celebrity chef Mitch Tonks, as well as the Bayards Inn and Bellini's Bar. Heading up the hill from the apartment you will soon pick up the South West Coast Path and Dartmouth Castle.
