Enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. This delightful terraced holiday cottage is ideally placed within walking distance of Lake Windermere in the lovely village of Bowness-on-Windermere. Excellent for walking or climbing, activities nearby include sailing, water sports, steamship trips on the lake or rowing-boat hire. The National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole, and the superb Aquarium of the Lakes are close. Whilst in Bowness, the Beatrix Potter Exhibition will enchant adults and children alike, or browse the excellent choice of boutiques, tea rooms, galleries and museums. Shops, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

This was our 4th visit and we plan to return again, which says it all.

This was our 4th visit and we plan to return again, which says it all. Rustic Cottage provides a perfect base for exploring the lakes. The accommodation is small but quiet, spotlessly clean, comfortable and cozy with the added bonus of the secure garden for the dogs. A two minute walk into Bowness gives you access to all the amenities. The owner, caretaker and team are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only reason for giving the equipment a 9 was that the DVD player wasn't working, but this didn't detract from a very restful and relaxing stay.

Rustic cottage is a beautiful old traditional cottage, we had a wonderful week in bow ness ., the cottage is extremely close to all the local amenities. Which is fab if you want to leave the car and head out to one of the many amazing restaraunts and bars , when we arrived it was pretty chilly ., but the heating was on and we immediately felt at home in the cottage , there was always a bottle of bubbly and some treats for my dog left by the caretaker Fiona , I would visit the lakes again , and would be delighted to stay in rustic cottage on my next visit x

Beautiful authentic old world cottage.

Beautiful authentic old world cottage. In an excellent location for exploring and enjoying the local amenities. Only downside was the furniture was a little uncomfortable couches could do with replacing. The tv could also do with an update we were unable to get the remote to work as instructions on the buttons all worn off. The caretaker was lovely and very helpful and the little extra touches flowers, cleaning equipment were much appreciated.
