A well-thought-out, semi-detached holiday bungalow offering good-sized living accommodation in an elevated position on the edge of Hastings. It has a greenhouse in the garden, and from the terrace you can actually glimpse the sea as you stand up to reposition your deckchair! Situated on bus routes for easy access to the centre of this medieval Cinque Port and you can experience for yourself the relationship that the town has with the ocean and see the largest beach launched fishing fleet in Europe, despite the decline in the fishing industry. The old town offers interesting book shops, vintage clothes, tea rooms and antiques. Although The Battle of Hastings in 1066 took place a few miles down the road at Battle Abbey, the ruins of William the Conqueror’s first English Castle still stands on the cliffs overlooking the sea in Hastings. Just along the coast is the Cinque Port of Rye; here you can explore where E. F. Benson’s ’Mapp and Lucia’ was filmed. Visit the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and then continue to Camber and stroll along the glorious miles of sand dunes. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Great place

Lovely bungalow, spotlessly clean and perfect for my elderly parents. All the rooms are large and the sun lounge is just great for breakfast overlooking the garden. Also garden was great for the dogs.

Super bungalow, well equipped and very clean.

Super bungalow, well equipped and very clean. Good off road parking for 2/3 cars. Conservatory was useful to have a coffee & chat in the winter sunshine. Back garden very nice with large patio area catching the daytime sun , although November on our visit still quite pleasant. property high up on a hill so super views across the town to the sea in the distance. A very well stocked Spar shop is just a short walk down the hill. Beware the hill is steep so the walk back gets the heart pumping !!. There is adequate parking outside the shop if the walk is too much for you. We only stayed 2 nights because of Covid Lockdown but would love to stay again sometime. Lovely bungalow, immaculate and well equipped. Only slight drawback was the location being in a hilly area, otherwise perfect

Beautiful, spacious and incredibly clean bungalow.

Beautiful, spacious and incredibly clean bungalow. It was well equipped and had a lovely private garden. The only downside for us was the distance to the sea, a good 45 minute walk and very hilly! That said I think there was a regular bus route although we didn't use it. Very handy Spar shop about 3 doors down.
