We had a wonderful stay, 2 adults, 2 children.
We had a wonderful stay, 2 adults, 2 children. There were lots of lovely little touches at the cottage like crayon packs for kids, books and DVDs, a dog bowl for four legged friends (we left ours at home this time) and plenty of local information about walks, amenities etc. The cottage was cosy and felt like a home, covid risk assessments were evidently in place. I would reccomend the cottage to others and felt it was good value. The owner of the property contacted us on our first evening to check that we were settled in and was friendly and helpful. The walk up the track opposite the cottage that he told us of was a big hit with the kids and the free range eggs we bought at the honesty box on the way back made a delicious breakfast the next day! We found Seaton beach which the owners had recommended, where we found a lovely lifeguarded sandy beach, not many people and a great takeaway restaurant "beach house" a minutes walk from the beach serving gorgeous pizza, chips, ice cream, hot and cold drinks. The children enjoyed the outside spaces at the cottage and had their own 'playroom' space in the lounge area. The stairs had a gate at the top due to a quirky top step so it made them safe, especially at night. The kitchen was small but well equipped, with almost everything we needed. We didn't find a tin opener but this was remedied by buying tins with ring pulls at a supermarket in nearby Liskeard (10mins drive). We could have done with a larger pyrex type dish to be able to cook meals in the oven, but everything else that we needed to be able to cook was adequately supplied. We had a wonderful week and would happily return in the future if we are staying in that area. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
