In a good location within easy walking distance of the town centre, lots of pubs and restaurants to chose from and a good mix of shops. Plenty of walks in and around Keswick. The area is well supported by a good bus system. The cottage itself is very clean well maintained and good facilities and it as the added bonus of a parking permit

An excellent stay at Latrigg View.
An excellent stay at Latrigg View. We found the property to be clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It is within easy walking distance of all amenities in Keswick including all pubs and restaurants. The parking permit at the nearby Church is a real bonus. I would have no hesitation in recommending Latrigg View and we will definitely be returning.

Well located house near the local shops, pubs and bars.
Well located house near the local shops, pubs and bars. The Bedrooms, Bathroom and Living area were clean. The beds are passable but the single beds are a bit creaky. The utility room has a washing machine and freezer which is useful. The living room is homely and the sofa and chair was comfortable. The TV only shows a few channels but this isn't really an issue when in such a scenic place and a great choice of pubs to spend the evening.
The only small minus was that some items in the Kitchen weren't clean.
The sitting room table which is small would be a push at fitting four people as well as having only a three seater sofa and chair. For three people it was fine.
These however aren't major issues that would spoil a holiday. Check-in is not until 5pm and check 9am, the reason being to allow extra time for cleaning.
In all, a decent place to stay and was good base for Keswick and the Lakes.

Latrigg View is a cozy cottage situated in a very central but quiet location for all amenities in Keswick. 5 minute walk to pubs/restaurants etc and some walks but within a short driving distance of many others. The parking permit in a nearby location is a bonus as parking in Helvellyn Street can be difficult. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you can think of and is a home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Latrigg View.

Very clean, modern cottage.
Very clean, modern cottage. Upside down feature worked well as heat rose and lounge warm and bedrooms cooler. Brighter upstairs too. Kitchen could have done with a dishwasher , which with having a utility meant plenty of space. Double bedroom a little tight, but fine. Could do with a footstool or bean bag to put feet up in lounge as only 3 seater settee and single chair which meant you’re on top of each other. Couldnt open any windows except toilet, kitchen and bathroom - would’ve liked to open bedroom on vent. Lovely cottage besides this, will book again if just four people.

The cottage was a lovely property with excellent attention to detail.
The cottage was a lovely property with excellent attention to detail. The surface cleaning was very good. Good range of kitchen equipment enable you to cook and bake, should you be so inclined. Really loved the bath. It was very welcome after a long walk.
The property has a parking pass for a local private car park just a little way away. This was very welcome as the roads are very narrow and whilst parking is available outside the property great demand means finding any space is difficult.
On arriving at the property we did find that the laundry bags containing last weeks washing was at the bottom of the stairs, in light of Covid this was unacceptable. The freezer had an open packet of chicken left in.
The dressing table chair is unsafe as it has been broken in the past.
All issues have been reported.

Cottage was lovely, comfortable, cosy and well equipped and very well situated. Very clean. The shower seems to be a bit temperamental best to stick to the bath I think and beware the squeaky floorboards. On the whole though they are very minor niggles considering everything the cottage has in its favour. Would recommend Alpacas Ever After, the alpaca walk is amazing.

Lovely cottage to spend a few days away.
Lovely cottage to spend a few days away. A few reviews have commented on the inconvenience of the car park, but actually this was very close to the cottage so not a problem at all. Very warm with comfortable bed, great layout and great views of latrigg (unfortunately usually covered by cloud when we were there!)
Right next to the centre of town and handy for all local amenities.
Kitchen well stocked, including lots of baking equipment which was a bonus. Need to take milk etc with you.
We would return here.

Nice cottage in an excellent position for shops and restaurants, comfortable bed although we found the bedrooms to be very cold. We have stayed in many holiday cottages where a welcome pack is provided so was surprised to find that not even a pint of milk for a cuppa on arrival was provided.

We had a great stay at Latrigg View.
We had a great stay at Latrigg View. It was immaculately clean and had a very well equipped kitchen and a variety of books and DVDs. Our children loved the novelty of an upside down house. The parking permit for the private car park was also very handy although still a couple of minutes walk away from the cottage. The only thing that would have improved it for us is a sturdy stair gate at the top of the stairs as we could not relax with our adventurous toddler eager to explore and no way of safely blocking the wide gap. We ended up putting the travel cot at the top of the stairs each morning to block the way which was a bit of a pain but did give us peace of mind. Otherwise we would highly recommend.

I booked Latrigg View as a last minute holiday.
I booked Latrigg View as a last minute holiday. There were only two cottages to choose from in Keswick.
I am very glad this cottage was available and I do not know why it was available, especially during the summer.
The photos online do not do the cottage any justice at all.
It is a lovely, spacious and homely place to spend your time after a busy day.
It is brilliant having the parking permit although we did often get parked outside anyway.
My only fault is (I am sure I had a good look) there were no oven gloves.
We loved staying here and I especially adored your paintings and the beautiful frames.
Thank you

The location was ideal.
The location was ideal. It took a day or two to get used to an upsidown Cottage but the early morning sunrise over the mountains was worth it.
A hand rail down the steps to the kitchen area would be useful from a health and safety viewpoint and towel rails in the bathroom and utility room would also be a welcome addition.

Nice cottage in a really handy place a short walk to everything.
Nice cottage in a really handy place a short walk to everything. My only complaint was the fact someone seems to have a workshop in his garage at the back of the cottage and the noise of him working and talking woke us up a bit too early.
