Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot available.. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Visit England 3 Star. Please note: The spindle gaps on the staircase are up to 35cm wide, care maybe needed.. Wickhams View is a spacious first floor apartment which benefits from a newly fitted kitchen in January 2019, spacious living room with vaulted ceiling, two parking spaces and a central location behind the main street of Keswick. The towns amenities are literally on the doorstep, from shops to restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. Hope park and Derwentwater are each within 5 minutes walk and there are many walks from the property onto the fells surrounding Keswick and along the Borrowdale valley. Guests travelling via public transport will finds its central location and proximity to the bus station a great advantage.

Great Location, one small wrinkle.

A flat in a fabulous position in the very centre of Keswick, within walking distance to everything the town offers. The flat is very cosy and comfortable, the heating works well and it is furnished with everything we needed. The only wrinkle was that the duvet provided for the main bed had obviously been left damp at some stage and smelled strongly, to the point that it was unusable. Sadly, it tainted the pillows also. We were able to find (not very large) alternatives, fortunately. This was the only negative in our four day stay in this otherwise comfortable and well-presented apartment.

For location within Keswick, cleanliness, comfort and equipment this apartment could not be faulted.

For location within Keswick, cleanliness, comfort and equipment this apartment could not be faulted. It was very warm, had everything we could need and formed a perfect base for a week's exploring of the area, its walks and the lake. We would definitely stay again. The ONLY thing that let it down were the directions provided to get there - yes, ultimately, they we reasonably accurate but when you are trying to follow instructions by street name whilst trying to avoid families, children on bikes, dogs etc in a town you really don't know it was very tricky. Simply provide some more really obvious landmarks within the directions e.g. straight on at the mini roundabout with the Co-op on your left - especially at the end when it feels like you are entering a pedestrian zone. It needs to be made very obvious that you can turn down between the postbox and the pub door. Don't get me wrong, we had a fabulous week, but, please improve the directions. I am so glad we found this apartment at such short notice.

I am so glad we found this apartment at such short notice. It was absolutely spotless, even the bed linen and towels had that fresh laundered smell. Ideal location in the centre of town, with parking ! The only issue we had was driving into the small road where the apartment was, unfortunately being height of Summer the local pub had tables and chairs placed on the corner of the road that you drive into, which meant we had to drive down / up a high kerb to dodge the people sitting (not ideal if you have a low wheel based car !).

Would recommend this property. One thing in this day and age sadly lacking is a wi-fi connection. It certainly would not be a fortune to get connectivity and would enhance the accommodation. Good for two people - would struggle to see more than two!!
