Perfect for a family getaway or couples retreat, this beautiful cottage in the heart of Keswick is within walking distance of Derwentwater and the surrounding Lake District fells and mountains. Formally known as Baree.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair.. Small, rear enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. On road parking. Visit England 4 Star. No smoking.. This beautiful semi-detached cottage has been decorated with great care and attention to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Sleeping up to four adults, this property is very well equipped, offering one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both dressed in comfortable linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep for all, with the flexible arrangements making it perfect for families and couples. The hub of this cottage is undoubtedly the fantastic open-plan kitchen and dining room, with French doors leading into the living room. This truly makes a great open-flowing space, especially good for kids, so you can always keep an eye on them, with an airy yet cosy ambience throughout.

Lavender Cottage has a low ceiling at the top of the stairs so please take care. Steep stairs.

On-street parking is available, or alternatively, the bus stop is only two streets away on the main road.

If you like outdoor adventures such as walking, cycling and climbing, the local area surrounds you with some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn, just to name a few. You can easily walk into Keswick town centre and leave the car behind, the town centre is a short, flat walk away and the edge of Derwentwater just a 10-minute walk. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and obligatory outdoor and fashion brands, along with plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, this traditional market town is one not to be missed.

A lovely house in a great location, 5 min walk from town but very quiet.

A lovely house in a great location, 5 min walk from town but very quiet. Location also has great walks from the door without the need of a car, Latrigg, Skiddaw and the walk around Derwent to name a few. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great holiday cottage for anyone wanting to be in Keswick - it was nice being near the town centre and well situated to explore the central Lakeland fells. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard - which I appreciated, as sadly, that is not always the case with some other holiday cottage experiences. Would definitely reccomend. .

Absolutely lovely house right in the centre of Keswick. Lovely and clean. Only issue I had was with contacting Verbo around payment of property. They never gave reminders and had to go through Cottages.com who were very helpful.

We had a lovely week away with our 2 spaniels.

We had a lovely week away with our 2 spaniels. The house was very clean and cosy! It was great having doors to block the living room and stairs to stop the dogs from going around the house with muddy paws! Great kitchen and cosy living room. We loved the bedroom it was nice watching tv in bed in the mornings! The house has no parking but we had zero issues with parking and always managed to park out the front of the house! The only issue we had was hardly any hot water for washing up or baths but that’s hardly an issue with a hot shower and a dishwasher :) the house was for sale when we visited so I’d like to say we’d visit again but not sure if that’ll be possible. WE were very disappointed to find a contractor's skip outside our property when we arrived.

WE were very disappointed to find a contractor's skip outside our property when we arrived. We were due to leave on the 20th and it was only removed on the lunchtime of the 19th. It had nothing to do with "Baree" It was very unsightly and devalued the situation immensely. It also deprived us of a possible parking space.

We stayed with our 2 year old son & dog and the cottage had everything we needed! The layout of kitchen & lounge made cooking dinner & watching our son invaluable. The location was perfect, a short walk into the town & to the lake, lovely views of the surrounding area & right outside the house car parking. The cottage was always lovely & warm, very nice large rooms & cleanliness was outstanding. We will definitely visit again ?
