Dylasau is a picturesque detached cottage, set down a quiet country lane, at the top of a gently terraced garden. About a mile away are many fine waterfalls, including the Conwy Falls and the Machno Falls (near the mountain-ringed village of Penmachno). Nearby are the 14 peaks of Snowdon, but closer to hand there is a delightful farm trail on the owner’s farm close by. Reputedly the best rock climbing in the world is available near Llanberis, and canoeing and mountaineering courses are available at the National Outdoor Centre in Capel Curig, The nearby village of Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, has much to offer, including the fabulous, family-friendly treetop adventure park at Zip World Fforest. A short drive takes you to a larger Zip World in Bethesda which offers adrenaline junkies the options of trying Europe’s longest zip lines, and the world’s fastest zip line. For a more tranquil experience, the famous Ffestiniog Railway takes you on a spectacular journey to the coastal town of Porthmadog. Forest trails, Horse riding and golfing opportunities are a short drive away. Shops and eating and drinking establishments are to be found at Betws-y-Coed, 4 miles away.
