Beautifully furnished and co-ordinated, it lies a few minutes’ walk from the centre of this vibrant, ancient city. Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay at Queen’s Staithe is in the heart of York; it was originally built in the 19th century and used as a timber mill. York has been a key trading port since Roman times and the River Ouse remained tidal until the construction of Naburn Locks in the 18th century. Queen’s Staithe played a prominent role in the commercial development of York and it is still a working quay today. The property will be decorated for those staying during the festive season.
During 2000, Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay was converted into luxury apartments offering all of York’s world-famous sights and activities right on the doorstep. An ideal holiday base for exploring York and touring the North Yorkshire Moors and the Dales. The seaside resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are within easy driving distance. Shops 50 yards.
