The cottage was lovely, comfortable and spotless. The location was very peaceful and not too far out from amenities. Michelle was a great friendly host and supplied everything you could possibly need

This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in (and that is a lot).
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in (and that is a lot). The beds are very comfortable and the cottage was very clean, well equipped and warm. We had a lovely week re-acquainting ourselves with 'God's Own Country' and have fallen in love with the location, as so much to see and do without travelling miles. We particularly liked Sandsend and Whitby (Whitby Scampi and fish and chips at 'Mister Chips' was a highlight), but also driving over the Moors to Pickering, Thornton-le-Dale and Kirkbymoorside. A journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a must - we did several years ago, but never tire of the scenery. The location of the cottage is perhaps a little remote for some, but we love it. The owner, Michelle, is delightful, welcoming and helpful. All in all, a real find - we will be going again as soon as we can and highly recommend.
