Lovely cottage, spacious and well equipped/furnished to a high standard.
Lovely cottage, spacious and well equipped/furnished to a high standard. Kitchen and both bathrooms modern and stylish with a good range of appliances and equipment.Set in an excellent location with beautiful views directly from the whole of the living space. Nice garden and patio with seating overlooking Loch Duich and the mountains. Very easy to locate/access and well located for visiting many places either on Skye or the mainland.Owner was welcoming, friendly and happy to help if needed. Very glad I came across this cottage and definitely will stay again. Thanks for a wonderful week.
The house is neat and very clean with a modern kitchen and modern baths. A convenient and nice bathroom and bedroom are downstairs and a decent size bathroom upstairs that serves the two good sized well appointed bedrooms. The kitchen has all you need for appliances but know that it did not have basic supplies for cooking like salt, oil, etc. As you sit in the living room, you look out to the loch and highlands and know this is the Scotland you came to see. As you sit in the dining room and look out one window you see sheep grazing on the hillside and the highlands and bluebells form the other window. The moody and dramatic Scottish sky hangs over all. The road the house was deceiving at first but came to be one our favorite places. After our walk up the road on our first evening, we realized how beautiful it was and how well situated we were. The vista area at the top is one of the best we saw. Three hundred and sixty degrees of loch, highlands, sheep, and sky. But perhaps the coup de gras is the walk/ hike that starts behind the stone barn not far up the road from the house. You have to work your way through some muck, but not for far. It leads out to the most majestic walk we took with a deep narrow glen formed by a beautiful stream/ river and steep hillsides surround you. Just beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay here. It is very convenient to the areas we wanted to see. We didn't use the outdoor patio as the short January daylight hours meant we were only there when it was dark, but can see how it would be a lovely spot to sit and unwind. It is just off a main route but sits above it, so there is a very nice view over the road toward the loch. I think the listing photos are spot on for the look and feel of the house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosdail.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosdail. It's in a beautiful location with magnificent views which can be enjoyed when staying in for the day. The cottage is also conveniently situated for day trips into the local area and even to the Isle of Skye. The rooms are beautifully decorated and make one feel very comfortable, especially when spending evenings in the lounge with a nice fire in the wood burner. Upon arrival, we were surprised by a lovely welcome pack and treats and our host was always responsive and helpful if we had any queries. We can definitely recommend, and in fact already have, and would return again!
