This location is perfect for family days on the beach, with Whitesands Bay close to St Davids (ideal for building sandcastles), and Aberfelin is just a short walk away, where your family can play in rock pools and uncover crabs, shrimps or if you are lucky, a starfish. Cosy cottage in a lovely village close to coastal paths.
Easy to find and easy access to this cosy and comfortable cottage that has everything you’ll need for a relaxed holiday. Trefin is so quiet it’s easy to park along the road by the cottage. Amazing coastal walking close to the cottage with breathtaking views in either direction, plus we saw seals which was a massive bonus. The village is on a bus route to St David’s, the cathedral is a must see, and Fishguard, although we never made it that far, so you don’t need to retrace your steps along the coastal path if you don’t want to. The Ship Inn in Trefin is very friendly with an open fire. The Sloop Inn in Porthgain is lovely and had a fireworks display during our stay. The Shed serves great food too. Melin Tregwynt is worth a visit too to see the beautiful throws etc being made on site plus they have a coffee shop. A very unspoilt part of the world, we’ll be back!
