About the host
Hosted by Tim Stenton
The owner Tim Stenton purchased Hillockhead in July 2018. Despite originally being from Derbyshire in England, he had been visiting the area on a regular basis for nearly 20 years prior to the move. A wildlife photographer and tour guide his first book 'Moray Firth Dolphins' was published in 2013. He is a co-author of 'Europe's Sea Mammals' published in July 2019. Tim lives on site and can provide advice on beer, whisky, dolphins, local attractions, walks etc ...... in no particular order.
Why they chose this property
Whilst like many others I originally visited the area to see the wild bottlenose dolphins, I enjoy the other wildlife, the quiet beaches and expansive views.
What makes this property unique
The views from Hillockhead are arguably the best on the Black Isle. An uninterrupted panorama stretches from Ben Nevis in the west (50+ miles) to Lossiemouth in the east (22 miles).
