Uninterrupted sea views across the Moray Firth home to dolphins

Occupying a prominent position with stunning uninterrupted views of the Moray Firth, The Farmhouse is ideal for larger families or groups. On the ground floor there is a large entrance area leading to a well equipped kitchen. An archway leading to a dining room with seating for 12. In one wing is a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite featuring a large walk in shower. A spiral staircase outside of the bedroom leads up to a bedroom with two single beds. Please note that the staircase is not suitable for very young children or the less able. Also on the ground floor is a living room with wood burner. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite, a family bedroom with a double and two single beds, and a bathroom. All bedrooms offer sea views. The Farmhouse backs onto a very large, enclosed garden with seating area. For larger parties guests often book one of the smaller properties for additional bedrooms - socialising and eating in the Farmhouse.

The farmhouse is in idyllic location, facing the Moray Firth and surrounded by woodland. The cottage is called Dolphin views and within 2 hours of being here up popped a pod in the estuary! Th cottage has a spread out set up, with bedroom both sides of the dining/kitchen area. The spiral staircase to the mezzanine floor was very tight and a bit rickety, but the boys loved it! The farmhouse is very rural and the approach road is a steep dirt track, so be warned if you have a low to the ground vehicle. Should you go in winter and snow forecast snow chains are a must! We were a party of 10 and the house coped amiably, with space for us all to spread out. The place is ideal for family’s, ideal for nature, just amazing!

We had a wonderful time at the farm house. It has uninterrupted view of beautiful ocean and surroundings. Property was very clean and had all the required facilities. Kids enjoyed playing around the large garden facing the sea. It is very close to number of attractions including the beacges and Dolphin view point. Tim is a really nice person and very accomodative. We felt it is very homely and definitely recommend for families who like serene environment. Thank you very much Tim.

Lovely stay in beautiful Fortrose!

We spent a brilliant week at Tim’s wonderful property in Fortrose - it had incredible views, all the space you could want (we were a group of 5 plus 1 dog) and all the amenities you need. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Views and Scenery

Pictures do not do this stay justice. This is a converted farmhouse so the stay itself is a no frills type of place. If you are looking for 5 star hotel quality amenities this isn’t for you. But if you are looking for a wonderful Scottish experience that includes a drive through quaint villages, beautiful farmland, amazing cliffside views, and friendly hospitality then this place certainly will not disappoint. Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our time spent here. Tim did a great job of making us feel right at home, provided local knowledge and resources, and even came by to help us out when we asked him a question.

Lovely remote location

The house is located on a beautiful bit of property overlooking waterways. The views are spectacular. Check in was simple and we received excellent directions to get there from the host. Two towns very close by we’re lovely. This is a perfect spot from which to explore the area. We had a little trouble with the heat and wifi while there, but both were minor issues that either didn’t last long or barely impacted our stay. We had a peaceful stay and would come back! Thank you Tim and team.

We loved out stay!!! Wanted to stay longer! The view were incredible. My wife and I enjoyed coffee out side every morning waiting for our kids to become active. We had rainbows every morning! I would love to know the history of the house! We stayed in three areas/houses on our trip and loved this one more than any other! We cannot say enough positive things about our stay! Thanks

Sehr schönes Cottage

Wir waren mit ein 8 Freunden im Haus. Jedes Schlafzimmer hatte ein Bad. Die Betten waren super und die Ausstattung in dem Haus ist auch mehr als ausreichend. Der Vermieter wohnt mit auf dem Grundstück, hat uns aber komplett unser Ding machen lassen. Er war aber jederzeit für uns da, falls wir mal eine Frage hatten. Wir waren sehr gut zufrieden mit dem Haus und würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren. In dem Nachbarort in Fortrose ist auch ein hervorragendes Pub (the Andersons), was absolut einen Besuch wert ist. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt

Stunning sea views in peaceful location

3 generations had a great week staying at the Farmhouse. Tim was very friendly and accommodating and was particularly kind to the toddler in our party! The views from the garden are second to none so we spent most of the week outside with binoculars! We saw dolphins, seals, a red kite and a yellowhammer from the property. Quick drives into Cromarty, Rosemarkie and Fortrose - all of which we enjoyed visiting. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Thanks Tim.

Breathtakingly charming!

The perfect getaway! Nice and spacious for the whole family with the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It’s nestled just enough away to feel like you are on your own but with quick access town amenities and sea side strolls. We would definitely stay here again!

Tolles Haus für mehrere Familien

Toller Blick, großzüges Haus und ein netter, unkomlizierter Vermieter. In der Bucht kann man Delphine von Land und sogar vom Haus aus beobachten. Unbedingt eine Delphintour mit dem Schnellboot machen!

Authentic house with amazing views

We had the pleasure of staying at this truly authentic Scottish farmhouse for 3 nights and loved everything about it. Tim was a wonderful gracious host. The house sits high on a rolling hill. It’s very quiet and peaceful. There were 9 of us and we all had plenty of room. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kids loved running around and visiting the neighbors sheep. Sad when we had to leave, definitely could have stayed longer! Thank you Tim!
