Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Small courtyard with terrace and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river in the courtyard, 10 yards away.. This first floor conversion of a detached boat shed, with the owner living on-site, overlooks the River Waveney in a private marina. The open plan living areas and floor to ceiling windows open out onto Juliet balconies and include a private sun terrace. Beccles is the heart of the Southern Broads that form part of the Norfolk Broads National Park. This quaint market town is host to delightful pubs, restaurants and artisan cafés. The River Waveney runs right through the town and you can hire day boats close by and there are marked walking routes and perfect wildlife spotting from the elevated position of the apartment. Beccles Lido, a traditional outdoor heated swimming pool that sits alongside the river, is a ’must see and do’ experience during the warmer months. To the east you can visit Lowestoft, with sandy beaches, traditional piers and fine seafood dining. To the west you will find Norwich, a fine city, home to a castle, cathedral and superb shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Beach 10½ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 400 yards.

Fabulous stay at Derby’s Loft! Very comfortable and well equipped.

Fabulous stay at Derby’s Loft! Very comfortable and well equipped. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Great location for walking into town, about 10 minutes, choice of supermarkets close by too. Fantastic base for walking around Beccles and the Waveney, so lovely to be able to just relax and watch the boats go by. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.

The hot water was dangerously hot, needs a new tap in the Bath room, the shower is coming away from the wall, needs some breakfast bowls only had one, had soup bowls but to big, could do with a frying pan lid. The owner was very nice. As I rent a property I like to know if things are wrong.

We had a fantastic time at Derby Lofts. The property is well maintained, sparkling clean and well located to visit both Suffolk and Norfolk. We will visit again

The Lofts

The Loft itself was as described and the bed linen, towels and so forth, very clean as was the loft itself. Perfectly good enough for our needs. However, would suggest better directions to getting there and perhaps they could look at updating some of the appliances - dishwasher didn’t work. Overall though, Mr Tubby very welcoming and a great location.

Lovely apartment, well kitted out. The only slight niggle was that it was really hot in there, especially coming back after a day out but would be very cosy in winter! Good location and easy to park. Overall very impressed.

This is a new property on the market.

This is a new property on the market. Very well equipped with a wonderful view of the River Waveney. Beccles is a lovely old town on the Suffolk, Norfolk border. The sky is full of bird life. The only drawback to the property is with full summer daylight hours it heats up and their is limited air circulation. The roof skylights have no opening bar and only the cooker fan extractor was working. The owner who lives nearby is aware of this, for increased comfort I would recommend. We would stay again because of family connections and ease of access to Norfolk.

Such an amazing experience and the perfect place to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday.

Such an amazing experience and the perfect place to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. The views out of the windows were stunning. The place was immaculate and so very clean. Very luxurious and very warm and comfortable. All the mod cons were such a lovely touch and they had thought of everything. Just a note of warning, if going in the winter and it’s icy outside, please be careful on leaving the loft as the patio area/entrance is extremely slippery. We had to boil several kettles to clear the ice from the entrance and the stairs up to the loft. I would have given this property ten out of ten for the loft except we never got our welcome bottle of bubbly as mentioned in the welcome note on arrival. All we was left with was an empty wine bucket. Getting that would have been the icing on the cake to an otherwise fabulous weekend.

Great location overlooking marina, and 15 mins walk in to town. Quiet and peaceful. Very bright and modern. Could do with an apartment guide, and also a hairdryer, but all in all, a great place to stay.
