Situated to the east of Eastbourne, the north and south harbours at this award-winning marina are divided by shops, pubs and restaurants and is less than a 5-minute stroll from the apartment. Take a boat trip from the harbour and observe the iconic cliffs around Beachy Head formed over 65 million years ago when the area was covered by warm tropical seas. Spot the lighthouse and keep a look out for seals. Eastbourne itself is a classic 19th-century English seaside resort complete with promenade and pier, nestling at the edge of the South Downs National Park. Visit the award-winning Turner Contemporary Gallery, enjoy an evening at the theatre or indulge in a spot of retail therapy. Pevensey Castle, Brighton and Herstmonceux Observatory Science Centre make for great days out for the whole family. There is also an indoor leisure centre nearby. Beach 500 yards. Our apartment was excellent, clean with everything you need for a holiday. The view from the apartment overlooking the harbour was lovely and changed depending on the time of day and the tide. Beautiful, well appointed and welcoming apartment with lovely views of the marina. A great environment for a relaxing break away from the busyness of the town. The view of the lock outside the apartment gave many hours of amusement watching the yachts go up and down. The seals in the harbour were an added bonus.
