Enjoy the wild stormy seas bashing over the harbour wall, or the more tranquil summer skies and sunsets whilst watching the colourful fishing fleet. Walk in to Mevagissey where you will find a great selection of shops, art galleries, restaurants, cafés and pubs all serving great local food and ales. There is a great choice of takeaways, should you wish to have a break from cooking. There are also regular boat and fishing trips available from the harbour.
This is the perfect location for exploring many attractions in the area, including The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and many sub-tropical gardens and National Trust properties. With miles of spectacular coastal paths, the area is popular with walkers and bird watchers. There are plenty of beautiful beaches and quaint harbours, including the famous historical harbour at nearby Charlestown, the setting for many films and TV series, including the Poldark series. A great road network allows guests to visit many different locations with ease, including the cathedral city of Truro with its cinema and theatre. There is diverse coastline to explore, from the rugged north coast, famous for its surfing beaches, to the more tranquil sailing waters of the south Cornish coast. Beach 2 miles.
