Courtyard with decking, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a borehole. There are 3 steps in the courtyard. No children under 16 years old, except babes in arms. . A rural retreat nestled amidst the glorious Devon countryside, with cycling and walking trails close by, yet just 15 miles from the breathtaking Cornish coast. The Shippon is the perfect holiday choice to escape the hustle and bustle at any time of year. This detached holiday property sits within the owner’s grounds on a working small holding, with its own driveway. The large deck and pretty garden are ideal for enjoying an al-fresco supper and the cosy wood burner is perfect to curl up beside on a chilly evening. Please be aware that as a small holding, no smoking (including pipes) or vaping is allowed on the site due to the fire risk.
Stunning ruby countryside surrounds The Shippon, with woodland and country walks from the door, it is the perfect holiday choice for guests wanting to unwind. The wide golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are just 15 miles away, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with shopping and leisure facilities, including 10-pin bowling, a wave pool, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Holsworthy, 7 miles away, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets along with a leisure centre and weekly market. The market towns of Launceston and Okehampton are only a short drive away and there are several good local pubs and restaurants close by to have a break from the cooking.
Fishing, riding, watersports and golf are all on offer close by and Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers. RHS Rosemoor is a haven for gardeners and golfers can enjoy three well-groomed courses. If you want to explore further afield, the pretty fishing villages of Port Isaac, Tintagel, Padstow and Clovelly are close by. Beach 15 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
