Lake View House is beautifully presented, has been newly refurbished throughout offering luxurious accommodation benefiting from large picture windows oozing natural light throughout. This is a perfect comfortable base to view Connemara’s breathtaking scenery, attractive towns and fishing villages, lively activities, excellent cuisine and enjoy a pint of Guinness in the local bars which play traditional Irish music. If you are seeking an active or relaxing getaway then Lake View House is perfect for you. There is hill walking on your doorstep (Mamean, part of the Maum Turk Mountains and the Twelve Bens), fishing, horse riding, surfing on the local white sandy beaches, island hoping, scuba diving, local adventure centres offering water and land sports to name but a few things to do. Or if you are seeking peace and tranquility what better place to relax and get away from it all. Strictly No Dogs.

Amazing Stay!

We had an amazing stay at the Lake View House. The house was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. The location is very convenient. We felt at home and were really able to enjoy our time in Recess and Connemara. Amanda was a great host! We would highly recommend staying at the Lake View House. We will definitely book for a future visit.

Beautifully spacious, clean and perfectly equipped house in a lovely area - highly recommended!

In July 2023 we stayed for a week (two families, 7 persons) and truly loved this house and the surrounding. Perfectly equipped, clean, calm, pure nature, just next to the main road N59 Galway - Cliften, nearby walks, great views... ..and: very nice, acommodating hosts! Thank you very much indeed! Choose this location for your visit of Connemara - You won't regret it!

A real nice olace for family holidays

Comfortable and well equipped house for a family (5+ people). The presence of donkeys and cows is a plus for thecm real feeling to be in the countrysize. So quiet and the lake view and mountains in the morning are so impressive. We really enjoy our week spent here ! Erwann

Family meet up

The property was just right for us, a party of 6 adults. We had a spare bedroom and the house was large, clean and comfortable. The views from all the windows ere fantastic. I was set in central Connemara allowing us to get to many of the places we wanted to visit easily. Amanda and her mum were friendly and helpful. Beautiful Holiday Home

We had the immense pleasure of spending two weeks in this charming holiday home, and it was absolutely fantastic! The location is idyllic – surrounded by nature, with sheep grazing nearby and a breathtaking view of the countryside. The house is tastefully decorated and offers every comfort you could possibly need for a truly relaxing holiday. The rooms are spacious, bright, and airy. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had a restful night's sleep throughout our stay. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, always helpful, and readily available whenever needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend this holiday home to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

Friendly Lake View House

We had a good stay in the Lake View House and the surrounding region. The support of the owner was friendly and great. The only problem we used to have was FeWo‘s Rule of Censorship, not allowing to exchange phone and email contacts. That may result in certain moments into problematic situations. FeWo wake-up and give these ways free as other Agencies do.

Grande maison, très bien placée et idéale pour visiter le Connemara. Les chambres sont spacieuses.Les vues dans chaque pieces sont époustouflantes ! Nous avons tous été sous le charme. Les seuls points négatifs furent que le lave-vaisselle était en panne à notre arrivée alors que nous étions 9 personnes... il na pas été réparé durant notre séjour. Lors de notre recherche de logement, ce point de lave-vaisselle était un point déterminant. Et l'autre chose compliquée fût la batterie de cuisine. Les poêles sont très abîmées et devraient être changées. Il n'y a pas non plus de gros saladiers pour 9 personnes. En revanche, les échanges avec notre hôte furent très faciles. Très à l'écoute. Nous sommes arrivés plus tard que prévu, et notre arrivée à la maison a ete très simple.

Logement bien confortable, bien spacieux , avec de jolies vues , dans un endroit calme et paisible au coeur du Connemara. Vaisselle limite en quantité quand on est 9. La propriétaire nous avait parlé d'un canapé pour la 9 ème personne, on le pensait convertible mais ce n'était pas le cas, heureusement il s'agissait d'un ado qui a pu dormir par terre. Il y avait 4 douches mais 2 n'étaient pas fonctionnelles. De très bons souvenirs en famille.
