The building is a short 1 min walk from the newly renovated Santa Catarina market, which is very much worth a visit, in one direction and about a 7 minute walk to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona which is the oldest part of the city and from there another 2 minutes to the famous La Rambla. The Barrio Gótico contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. There are plenty of cafés and bars.
