Why not dine alfresco and watch the yachts sail in and out of the marina, or stroll along the promenade to the harbour, the only royal harbour in the country, and choose something tasty from one of the boats landing their daily catch? Visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to the beach, with 15 beaches and bays between Pegwell Bay and Reculver. Watersports are a popular draw all year round, with surfing, snorkelling, diving, boating and kite surfing.

Sehr schöner und interessanter Gesamteindruck

Das Haus und die Lage des Hauses hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Atmosphäre des Hauses, durch die Aufteilung und den optischen Eindruck, stimmte uns hervorragend auf einen Aufenthalt in England ein. Lediglich die Küchenausstattung könnte etwas umfangreicher und in Teilen, wie z.B. Messer, funtionstüchtiger sein, um besser selbst kochen zu können. Wobei größere Geräte, wie Kühlschrank und Herd, neuwertig und gut sind. Fernsehen und Internet funktionierten einwandfrei. Für die Kommunikation mit dem Anbieter sind gute Sprachkenntnisse von Vorteil, insbesondere bei Telefonaten. Über relativ kurze Wege sind ausreichende Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Hafen zu erreichen. Ramsgate als Urlaubsziel ist sicherlich Geschmacksache. Es bietet sowohl schöne, als auch heruntergekommene Flecken und somit ein interessantes Spannungsfeld. Im Vergleich zu den Nachbarstädten, wie Margate, überwiegen hier für uns die positiven Aspekte. Uns hat die Stadt gut gefallen und für jeden was geboten. Auch durch die gute Möglichkeit von hier aus die Gegend zu erkunden. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt im Haus und in der Gegend sehr schön und bereichernd und die Begegnungen mit den Menschen durch große Freundlichkeit geprägt.
