Enjoy two of the world's finest resorts, the Mauna Kea and the Hapuna Prince, at this 2 bedroom 2 bath luxury 2nd floor condo at the "Kumulani at the Uplands" of the Mauna Kea resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. This peaceful gated community is on the Hapuna/Mauna Kea Resort property. The condo sits above the 4th fairway of the Hapuna Prince golf course from which you can enjoy unobstructed beautiful ocean views, golf course views, and sunsets. The holiday fireworks shows are spectacular from the 400 foot wrap-around lanai. This condo has everything needed for a wonderful stay on the beautiful Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Enjoy Hawaii paradise at the top rated beaches in the world, Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea Beach. These are the only large white sand beaches on the Big Island. Both beaches are only a couple of minutes drive from the condo.

- Located 30 minutes from Kona International Airport (KOA) with many upscale restaurants and shops either on the resort grounds or within a short drive.

This condo sleeps 4. The master suite has a king bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, large tub, and walk-in closet, and beautiful ocean views. The guest bedroom has a California King bed and a separate bath. A cabinet of books and cookbooks is provided as well as a "well stocked" kitchen that a gourmet chef will love.

Available with your reservation is an extension of our membership in the popular Club at Mauna Kea Resort, which allows you to enjoy the amenities of both luxury Hotels located here – Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel. You may choose the amenity package for an additional fee which is paid directly to the hotel with your guest registration that will be sent to you separately. We provide you with beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, cooler, and beach toys.

Amenity Package privileges include:
1. Charging privileges like hotel guests
2. Free preferred parking with keycards
3. Beach access with lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas
4. Fitness center at both hotels
5. Pools at both hotels

Beautiful relaxing on the golf course looking at ocean

This is a wonderful property with responsive management. The view is wonderful, the condo has a great layout and is super comfortable. I would stay here again if given the opportunity. Friends wanted to move to the condo full come.

Absolutely beautiful location. Condo is very well equipped, spacious and comfortable with stunning views to the water and sunset. We could watch whales breach from the lanai. We had a difficult time leaving and extended our stay.

Best of both worlds

The condo was perfect for our family of 4 to spend a week over Thanksgiving. The condo is peaceful with beautiful views off the balcony, and it had everything we needed. Having access to both resorts was a huge bonus. It was the best of both worlds. Can't recommend it enough!

Well maintained condo, nicely located above Mauna Kea Hotel with great golf course and ocean views.

We very much enjoyed our week at this condo. It was nicely furnished and maintained and very clean when we arrived. The best feature was a large, west facing balcony that overlooks the golf course and ultimately the Pacific Ocean. It's location was very convenient to all the Mauna Kea/Hapuna Beach facilities. Bob, the owner, was very responsive to our questions and returned our security deposit in a timely manner. We'd happily stay here again.

Kumulani Gem

We've been traveling to the Big Island since 1984 and this is our first time staying in a condo. This lovely rental is clean and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and gorgeous views. We enjoyed breakfast on the spacious lanai each morning, afternoon swimming at Kaunaʻoa Bay and afternoon Mai Tai's at the Hau Tree. The MKBH amenities package is an added plus! Mahalo, Bob for sharing this bit of heaven on earth! Looking forward to a return visit.

Couldn’t have been better

We were a little skeptical of all the 5.0 reviews, as most places have even a few drawbacks. But upon arrival it was clear why this property gets consistent 5 star ratings. It was better than the photos. The view from the lanai was spectacular, we spent much of our time at the condo there. The place was perfect for our family of 4 and was a true respite. We loved how quiet it was and how close it was to the two nicest resorts and beaches on the island. It was also perfectly located for trips to Waipi’o and Poulou lookouts and hiking. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and overall just a great place to stay. If we come back to the big island this is where we will stay again without hesitation.

wonderful place

My wife and 2 daughters stayed at Kumulani B3 for 1 1/2 weeks this August. The property is 5 minutes to Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches which are both amazing. We purchased the activity pass to the resorts which we put to good use with the free/easy parking at both Hapuna and Mauna beaches which are otherwise difficult to park at unless you arrive very early. You also have access to the pool/gym at both places - the pool and gym at the Westin Hapuna were extremely nice; Mauna Kea gym/pool not so nice, although the grounds, beach and ocean views are gorgeous. The condo is very spacious and clean. The views of the ocean and sunset are truly incredible - we made it a point to be on the deck at sunset almost every night. The property manager Bob was very responsive and easily reachable. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Condo Near Wonderful Beaches

We absolutely loved this condo. We brought our 10 month old so we did spend a good amount of time in the actual condo and it felt like home. We would never get tired of the view from the patio. The condo had everything you would need for cooking and the grill outside was very nice and clean. All of the furniture in the house, including the master bed was comfortable. We opted in for the amenity package (additional fee) which gives you access to the facilities at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and Mauna Kea Resort. We spent more time at Hapuna Beach resort as we preferred the pool and beach there. I am still undecided if the amenity package was worth it at $75 a day. We were also a short drive to Beach 69 which was my favorite beach we visited. Overall, I would highly recommend this condo and area in general.

Kumalani perfect location on Kohala Coast

Beautifully appointed condo with all the amenities to enjoy a relaxing vacation on the Kohala Coast. Condo is in a gated community, with pool and hot tub…..we were the only ones using the facilities! Condo is on the top floor, two level four plex overlooking the golf course. Wonderful wrap around deck with comfortable couch, chairs, table and barbecue. Gorgeous 180° view of the ocean, coastline and sunsets. Two world class hotels, Hapuna Beach Resort and Mauna Kea Hotel, within a 5 minute drive. Both properties are situated on two of the most lovely white sand beaches in Hawaii….Hapuna Beach and Kaunaoa Beach. Every morning we would get up early to walk the two beaches which are connected by the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail, about 2.5 miles RT. We would definitely recommend the condo, and intend to return ourselves.🌴❤️🐋

Fabulous Family Vacation!

My husband and I took our two boys to Hawaii for the first time and stayed in this condo after my brother recommended it after his honeymoon. The location is wonderful. I recommend purchasing the activities package at the Mauna Kea, allowing pool, beach and parking access. It was nice (and cost effective) to swing by Costco upon arrival into Kona and cook for ourselves before heading out for the day. There's a grill on the patio for easy, sunset filled dinners each night. You can't beat this view! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need including Lenox and Waterford wine glasses. This condo is beautiful! The ONLY issue I had (and this is very small), the shower head in the master bath needs to be replaced. But that's definitely a Champagne problem ;) Enjoy your stay in paradise!

Super clean and well-stocked condo

My two kids and I stayed for a week at this Kumulani condo. It was fantastically clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with the requisite pots and pans, etc. We cooked dinner most nights (I recommend visiting the Waimea farmers' markets for local meats, vegetables and fruits) and it was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen. The layout was great and the view over the golf course (especially at sunset) was lovely. We purchased the Mauna Kea / Hapuna residential guest pass so everyday was spent at the beach with easy parking and easy signing privileges for lunch. I recommend that (although it's pricey!). There were a few minor issues-- malfunctioning AC and disposal-- but they were dealt with immediately and with no hassle. Bob-- the condo's manager-- was quick to respond and very accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful property in an amazing location!

We took advantage of our sons' late school start this year to spend one last week of vacation in Hawaii, on the Big Island. We've been here a number of times but I can honestly say this was our favorite place to stay yet! The condo was super clean and had everything that we could think of - our boys loved that they had their own room, and I loved that we had a fully stocked kitchen for when we needed to eat at the condo. What we loved the most, however, was the resort privileges at both the Mauna Kea and the Westin Hapuna Beach. With younger kids, we basically spent most days at the pool/beach of one or both of these hotels, and it was so easy logistically - best money ever spent! Also, communication with the owner was super easy - right before we were scheduled to head to the Big Island, it was under a severe hurricane watch and Bob was quick to respond and reassure us that everything was totally fine on the west side of the island (it was; everyone said that it was like there was no hurricane!). That quick correspondence made my hurricane-wary husband feel a lot better. Thanks so much for a great stay - when we come back, we'll be sure to book again!

Truly excellent in every way

The best resort: Mauna Kea is beautiful, exclusive, uncrowded and well worth the resort fee. A great location within the resort: Peace and beautiful views, but only a few minutes drive from the beach. A superb condo: Upper floor, ventilated on three sides – we never used the air conditioning. A huge lanai. It's own private entrance. Spacious. High end. Views on all sides. Wonderful sunsets. Superbly equipped: Trust me, this condo will exceed your expectations as it exceeded ours. Immaculately clean, beautiful, high-end furnishings, everything you need and many items you wouldn't expect. We felt like guests in a home and not mere renters. Great management: You can tell that from the upkeep, and not surprisingly, Bob was instantly responsive and helpful. Great value. We'll be back.

Great place, host, ease, and fun!

We've been coming here now for a few years and really enjoy the condo as it's always clean, well kept, functional and easy. The good part for us is that it's a 3 minute drive to the hotel, but it's also just a tiny away from all the crowds of the hotel and beach, so at night the view is amazing, it's incredibly comfortable, and super easy to get to either Mauna Kea or Hapuna in less than 3 minutes. Best of all worlds., like our home away from home...
