6 Swallowholm Cottages is a newly refurbished cottage set in a small hamlet in picturesque Arkengarthdale, just four miles from Reeth and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Approached along a short farm track and surrounded by magnificent scenery this Grade II listed cottage dating back to the1800 s has a multi fuel stove, under floor heating to the ground floor bedroom and bathroom and quality furnishings to provide very comfortable accommodation. The local 18th Century inn is less than 10 minutes walk and serves excellent food whilst Reeth has everyday shopping, craft shops, pubs and tea rooms. Richmond with its Georgian theatre, along with Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away. Arkengarthdale is a truly unspoilt corner of Yorkshire with walks from the doorstep across hills and moorland or make a journey over the Stang to the market town of Barnard Castle.
The cottage is in a row of 6. The property offers very comfortable accommodation with delightful views and walks available from the door.
The property is arranged upside down to make the most of the spectacular views over Arkengarthdale.
Ground Floor: Tiled entrance with under floor heating and space for coats and boots. The bedroom with underfloor heating has a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en-suite bathroom also has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is a freestanding Victorian style bath with shower over, toilet and sink.
First Floor Open plan living, kitchen and dining area with window overlooking the dale. There is a panel radiator and log burner to give a lovely cosy atmosphere. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven, ceramic hob, slimline dishwasher, larder fridge with ice box and microwave as well as a slow cooker. There is a is also a built-in washing machine / tumble dryer. The living area has a 42", TV with freesat, DVD player and a CD player. There is also a telephone with honesty box.
Outside:
The property is in a row of 6 with shared gravelled areas to the front of all the houses. There is a bench outside the front door from which to enjoy the views.
A parking space is available in the car park for each cottage. Guests may park in front of the cottage for the purpose of loading and unloading only.
