Perfect spot!

This was such a wonderful place! The view alone made it all worth it! Sitting out on the deck or down on the beach was so relaxing- and even saw some otters at sunset! The house itself was also very welcoming and cozy. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay. The location was great as well- you had the experience of being secluded while still being just a few minutes from all the things the island has to offer. I would highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful Cove

This was a perfect spot to relax for a few days with my husband. The house seems brand new and the layout is efficient with everything you need. The view and beach are absolutely beautiful. We saw lots of wild life and went paddle boarding. Easy access by car to the whole island. Definitely looking forward to going back.

This is our 3rd time at this property. We have rented a kayak from a local business and this allows us to launch from the cove at our convenience - when the tide and weather are conducive. We love the house. the kayaking was awesome. No whales but a lot of seals, birds, and fantastic views. Thanks!

Wonderful Stay!

The Waterfront Cove property exceeded my wife and my expectations. The “cabin” was extremely clean, cute, and very comfortable. The view of the Olympic Mountains across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the house on a clear day is breathtakingly beautiful. We can’t wait to return.

So relaxing!

The cottage was very clean and looked newly redone. The kitchen had everything we needed to have meals there. The view was amazing and it was so quiet we slept really well. We’d definitely book here again and recommend it. It’s about a 15 minute drive to town so need a car but was an easy drive.

I liked the property. I have always lived inland and in low rainfall areas. An island in a rainy area is a big change and welcome get away. I enjoyed every day. I like small towns and hiking in wooded areas.

Perfect as always

We've made a tradition of coming out and visiting the island and staying at the Cabin. This was our third visit. It's charm, natural beauty, and location can't be beat- it's the perfect retreat that never get's old. It's always so great to see the resident bald eagle and wildlife year after year- a reminder that despite all the chaos and unpredictability of day to day life- some wonderful things never change.

Amazing Location and Experience

Wonderful stay on San Juan Island. The property is quite special in many ways. This was our base camp for outings throughout 8 days. The cabin is well equipped and very comfortable. Modern design and amenities. The view of the cove and Haro Strait is stunning. Lots of kayaking right from the beach into nearby waterways. Access, communication, and overall experience was excellent— highly recommend Therese and Steve’s place, you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful getaway

We had a lovely time in this sweet little cottage. The nearly private little cove was gorgeous and filled with wildlife and it was wonderful to go down and watch the sun set in the evenings. The house itself was equipped with just about anything I could imagine needing and had a better prepared kitchen for cooking than many rentals I've stayed at. It was a short hop into downtown Friday Harbor and even quicker to get to Lime Kiln park and other wonderful hiking and viewing locations. We had a wonderful time and hope to get back there during orca season sometime!

Island paradise

This was our second stay at the cottage and like the first, it did not disappoint. Everything about the locale and living space is top-shelf. Highly recommend this property! We are active folk who enjoyed lovely kayak paddles and time out in our inflatable. Easy entry/exit for both types of watercraft. Biking and hiking available, too. The cabin itself couldn’t be better or more tastefully furnished. May your stay here be as delightful as ours was!!!

Amazing Views

Our stay at the cottage was perfect. The views are amazing and it was just perfect sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean, or inside looking out through the wall of windows. The home is exactly as pictured. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and there were kitchen, bath, and other supplies for anything we could have thought of. Communication beforehand was excellent. Our tweens slept on the pull out couch, which they said was very comfortable. Plenty of extra bedding and pillows. It made our time on San Juan Island just perfect!

Beautiful, cozy cabin

The cabin was spectacular. The views from the living room, kitchen and patio were beautiful and peaceful. It has everything one could ever need to enjoy this special place. It is just a 15 minute ride into town but in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. It is as immaculate as described from previous guests. We spent many mornings and afternoons on the patio chairs sipping all types of beverages…There were even a few foxes that passed by! The communication with the host was excellent. Another beautiful, peaceful weekend in paradise!

We first discovered Steve and Therese's place 3 years ago while on our "babymoon" and fell in love. We finally made it back with our little girl, who is almost three. It was just as perfect as we remembered, and she loved it too. The house is clean and had everything we needed to be able to relax and enjoy meals there. Our daughter enjoyed the yard and the beach at low tide. We also enjoyed the island and our 3 trips to Westcott Bay Oyster Farm. We live in Seattle, and just a few days here feels like a real vacation. Thank you Steve and Therese for your hospitality, excellent communication, and for sharing your home with us! Incredible place, beautiful home, private, pristine; the property is full of wildlife.

This is a true, hidden gem. One of those places that seems quite rare. The home was perfect for the two of us, everything we needed; new BBQ, everything was well designed and the view was a 10+. Great linens, bed, and spacious bathroom. 5 large windows facing the bay make this place amazing. 40 feet or so from the water, the house sits on a little incline. We walked our kayaks out each morning and paddled the coves nearby. The owners thought of everything!!! They were so kind, easy to work with, and it made our stay so relaxed. Their restaurant recommendations were great, too. WILDLIFE on the island was unsurpassed. Bald eagles, fox, a gray whale, porpoise and of course deer. We saw them all. We highly recommend this place as a fantastic, quiet getaway! So much to see and do on this island.

We have been visiting and vacationing in the San Juan islands for decades. We never dreamed we could own a property on the coveted West side of San Juan Island. We feel so fortunate to have purchased this property on a very quiet, protected cove, with a sandy beach, and one of the finest kayak launching locations in San Juan County.
