Great location for exploring both Winchester town centre and the Christmas market at the Cathedral (with the added bonus of the Carol Concert). Close to some lovely restaurants and cafes with some great recommendations on where to eat. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.
A three-day trip for 2 friends. Perfect property, well-maintained and with everything we needed. Close to cathedral, museums, high street and restaurants. The milk and biscuits were a welcome touch!

Thank you Becky for your kind review and can I just say, you were a fantastic guest! Sophie
Great property, private parking and a 5 minute walk into the town centre (there was a little road noise at night) we would stay again. Winchester is lovely, the tower tour of the cathedral recommended as long as you can manage very narrow spiral stairs (book in advance). The Cabinet Rooms wonderful for coffee. Hope to return and stay longer next time.
Excellent centrally-located flat, very comfortable
We had a great time, the first time we've had a chance to actually stay in Winchester rather than making a flying visit. The flat is in an excellent location, not much more than five minutes' walk down a quiet street to the cathedral or to the High Street. Easy access to the river, Keats' Walk, and other attractions. The flat itself is very comfortable, with everything we needed. It's also a good base for exploring other parts of Wiltshire. Highly recommended -- we'd love to come back.

Great location for walking to cathedral, Great Hall and for shops and restaurants in heart of historic area. Parking space somewhat tight but we were forewarned!
Comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay for our two day visit to the area.
The location of the flat was great and having a parking spot was terrific. There was plenty of space and it had very good amenities. The beds were comfortable but you can hear a bit of traffic noise in the bedrooms so if you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs. You have limited control of the heat but Sophie offered to turn it on.
Absolutely fab location. Parked the car for the weekend and could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lovely clean, uncluttered space with everything needed - especially kitchen. Thank you for the welcome gift - it was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend

The host was absolutely amazing and very communicative. They thought of everything possible that would be needed as a home away from home. This property is an absolute must stay if you’re visiting Winchester. It’s ideal location, which is close to everything, perfect. Can’t praise the host or the property enough. Will be recommending this property to all friends and family looking to stay in Winchester! Customer satisfaction at its upmost best!

Thank you William for such a lovely review. You were amazing guests, enthusiastic, kind and also great communication. Cannot be faulted - five stars!
An absolutely brilliant location , just 5 mins from the Cathedral, which is very beautiful .
The night life was brilliant and the town wonderful .
The property was top notch , being cleaner than clean . It was very well equipped and we could want for nothing. The small double was a tight squeeze but was properly explained In the blurb so we knew all about it , and we managed - you just have to like your partner ! Sophie was superb and the wine was greatly appreciated as was the milk , a cup of tea is always good . Communication was fabulous , and i felt that i could ask anything and Sophie wouldn't mind and it wouldn't be too much trouble . I would stay in the same place again if we were to come back to Winchester and I would recommend the place highly . Thank you for having us .
The house was very easy to find and was very clean and tidy on arrival which given the current circumstances was a very positive experience. Communication from Sophie, the owner, was excellent and nothing seemed to much trouble. Location to Winchester town centre is great and being able to park the car safely was brilliant.
Would definitely recommend to others and use again if visiting the area .

Thank you Graham and Lorraine for your kind review. It's true, people love being able to park! Thank you also for communicating really well and leaving the house immaculate after your stay, it is very much appreciated. Sophie
Excellent house. Very nice and clean. Wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else when visiting Winchester.
Sophie was fantastic and her lovely house was too. Would 100% recommend and if I visit Winchester again I will be checking the availability of this house before even considering anything else. Location couldn’t be better either.
The house is equipped with everything you could possibly want and even some beers in the fridge! Thank you again Sophie.

Thank you Darren for this review and I can safely say that if Darren ever asks to stay in your house with his family or his team, say yes! He was a fantastic guest, a true gentleman, thoughtful, softly spoken and impeccable manners and left the house so clean and tidy that the cleaning team commented on it!
We had a lovely cold, Christmas market weekend. The location of the house is very close to the centre of the town, and to the cathedral. Being able to park right outside is a real bonus. The house itself was very comfortable and with every facility. The oven didn't get quite as hot as expected, but a minor point! We had a great time.

Thank you Margaret for your lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Instructions on operating the oven have been updated to ensure it does everything you need it to!
Very nice property. Clean, modern and well appointed. The downstairs cloakroom was a pleasant surprise. The range of basic provisions left for us was also much more extensive than generally expected. Second bedroom was a little cramped and the living room could have been cozier (perhaps a rug?), but overall a comfortable flat in a great location with everything you could need and a helpful host.

Thank you Cathy for your kind review and glad you liked the cloakroom ;-). We've added a rug to the main living area. It is a tight squeeze in bedroom 2 so its good to ensure people know this when booking.

Great accommodation in the city centre with off road parking. Host was superb
Had a wonderful long weekend at the Christmas market. The house was easy to find, clean/tidy and the communication from the host was brilliant. Was great to be able to park the car off road as we were able to walk everywhere and even to the train station for a trip Southampton.
Would definitely recommend to others and use again. :-)

About the host
Your host
I fell in love with Winchester when I first lived here in 2015. We now live between here and the New Forest.
Why they chose this property
It has taken us 3 years to find the right home and it has been completely refurbished from top to bottom. It's been a labour of love for many people who live in the area and we are all really proud of the result.
What makes this property unique
Parking for one car off street, which is special in this area of the city. The street is just lovely. As soon as you walk outside you get breathtaking views of the cathedral and you walk down to the ancient university streets, it feels like a different world. It's our home part of the time, so it feels cosy and warm with all the things you need to enjoy your stay.
