This is a beautiful property that, sadly, was not ‘guest’ worthy during our trip. The kitchen is poorly equipped with limited pans, utensils, small appliances. There is a coffee machine without a pot, no hand towels to speak of, and no paper towels either. There is a trash compactor in the kitchen & no bags for it (had to steal a trash can from a 1/2 bath, which was still too big for the bags they provided. They left us an old already used kitchen sponge. You get exactly one bath towel per person and only 4 wash clothes & hand towels. It’s as if this is their first attempt at vacation rentals. The pool & hot tub were cold upon arrival. One of the upstairs Jack & Jill bathrooms has an illegally plumbed RV water heater that can’t produce enough hot water for more than a 5-minute shower, so we had to consolidate to share bathrooms for shower time. Even worse, they ran the exhaust for said water heater that is INSIDE the house, using soft-sided dryer vent hose. They sent someone over to try to ‘fix’ the issue - he was unsuccessful. Overall, did we have a good time? Yes we did - because we weren’t going to let a poorly prepared house ruin our fun. But we made MANY trips to the store for necessary items, shared bathrooms, burned through rolls of paper towels, and had to essentially equip the house to be useable on a basic level.We have been doing this annual trip for 10-years now. This property was, hands down, the most poorly operated/managed we’ve ever had experienced.
