Wyomissing is a classic beach holiday house on the Mornington Peninsula.
If you are willing to BYO linen, REFRAIN FROM SMOKING in the house, have NO PARTIES ( abide by the MP council code of conduct), and TIDY and CLEAN when leaving, this could be the reasonably priced family holiday house for you. Its large backyard, outdoor & indoor living areas and quiet surroundings will ensure you will unwind and relax. It is the perfect place for a family holiday at the beach or base from which to explore the activities and sights of Rye and surrounds.

Wyomissing is pet friendly with a secure rear yard and multiple undercover and shady areas. The bay beach is only a short 300m walk away and the Rye shopping centre is not much further.

The main conditions of rental is that you bring your own linen (quilt covers and pillow cases) & towels, and you must leave the house cleaned and tidy. Both these conditions help our guests have a reasonably priced family beach holiday.

Property Features
The property features a large secure backyard, covered outdoor living areas, a shady tree to have drinks under, BBQ, carport, microwave, reverse cycle air-conditioning, and two TVs, all in a quiet residential area.
It offers a very relaxing time for all.

The house has 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 in comfort. There is a queen size bed in the front bedroom, a double bed in the second middle bedroom, and 2 single beds in the rear children's bedroom. Remember to bring your linen!

Active children and well behaved pets will enjoy the open space of the secure backyard. Coloured lights can be switched on to brighten the outdoor area at night.

There is a wide easy accessed grassed driveway and boat washing/parking area and a separate secure undercover carport area as well.

Wyomissing is perfect for the family, but, NOT suitable for a schoolies type holiday. Guests who respect the house rules are welcome at Wyomissing.

1. NO PARTIES – Guests must comply with the Mornington Peninsula Short Stay Accommodation Code of Conduct.
2. NO smoking inside the house.
3. Bring your own linen.
4. Clean and tidy when vacating the property.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Tidy and leave the house as you found it
Return all keys to their places
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests must bring their own Linen (sheets, pillowcases, quilt covers ∓;Towels) Quilts and pillows are provided
House must be left clean & tidy. A cleaning charge of a minimum $80 may apply if the house is not cleaned and tidy as at the start of rental.
Primary renter should be over 30yr old or acceptable to the owners. Damage and faults must be reported to the owners ASAP.

Lovely short break

The older style house was very comfortable for our family of 4 and the kids loved it. Great location to explore Rye and surroundings. Lovely garden (good for hide and seek). We didn't end up bringing our dog, but she would have loved it if we did.

A Gem in the back blocks

We had a Great overall stay in this character filled holiday home, Its comfortable, has a great back garden for our dog. Nice proximity to the beach and shops at about an 1hrs round trip. Thanks again Reuben and Paul.

Wyomissing is in an excellent Rye location, walking distance to dog-friendly beach & shops, & is exactly as described - great old-fashioned beach-house with 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom in main house, laundry & 2nd bathroom in adjacent playroom. Enormous securely fenced backyard which our dog loved and great outdoor entertaining area. We will stay again! Thanks 😎

We received our final instruction for the house with the information about the location of the key safe. Unfortunately no code to access the key safe. We tried to contact the owners but couldn’t unless we set up a google account which I would not do. After a few hours of frustration we finally got through to the help desk which was very helpful. He sent us the code with the exact same email we received but it also included the key code which ours didn’t. All this stress occurred the day before we were to arrive a very stressful start to our holiday.We tried to use the baroque but it kept blowing our.

Everything you could want is at Wyomissing. It’s like visiting your grandparents holiday house when you were a child. The backyard is fabulous & perfect for children & fur babies. The beach is only a short walk away.

Third time stay and still love it.

We've been here a frw times now and just love the place. A short walk from the beach and Rye shops. A short drive to the hot springs. And just a really lovely old school beach house. Perfect big back yard for dogs too. Will be back again I'm sure.

The size of the backyard was wonderful, our pets loved it and settled in easily. The area is so peaceful and quiet, our ammenities within the house were very generous, The shops, cafe, supermarket within a walk or short car drive. love the indoor market for souveniers, I was surprised as to how Rye has grown since I last visited.We enjoyed our stay and it gave us confidence to take a holiday with our pets as this was the first time we have taken them with us.

Great stay at classic Rye beach house

My kids & I enjoyed a great stay at this classic beach house. It reminded me of my Grandparent’s former beach house located nearby. Kids loved the large front & backyard. Great location - walk to beach, near shops & quiet neighbourhood. Great communication from owners. Hopefully a bit more sunshine when we next visit!

Wyomissing had everything we needed for our two night stay in Rye. It was so handy to everything and we're really grateful that we could take our dog too! Comfy beds, great set up and a beautiful dose of nostalgia stemming from the decor. Thanks for sharing this lovely patch of paradise!

Peaceful stay

We loved the quiet surroundings of the property. Everything we needed was at hand, close to shops and main road, but away from it all, which was a priority for us. The property caters well for families and pets. We will definitely return.

The property was a lot more retro than it looked in the photos but had everything we needed for a weekend stay. It's a great location, close to everything. The host has thoughtfully provided a few cooking and toiletry basics which were appreciated. It felt like staying in someone's family beach house and it was nice to learn a bit about the history of the house and family
