Stunning peaceful rainforest location, warm and friendly hosts, gorgeous artistic house perfectly clean and beautiful refreshing pool. Will be sure to visit again 😊
A quiet hideaway not far from Nimbin and close to all the Borderlands drives and hikes. Natures’s magic, in comfort. Totally relaxing. Great host! Highly recommended!

Thanks Brendan, we really loved having you stay with us and were glad we could find a way to help you keep your original flights. Five stars to you too!
My partner & I road tripped to Nimbin from the hunter valley for Mardigrass. Jagad was amazing & always answers any questions was quiet helpful & accommodating. The place is breath taking quiet & peaceful. We will return
We deeply appreciated our stay at this magical place. The only challenging thing was tearing ourselves away. Clean and soulful. A wonderful place if you want to write, meditate, read and rest and just remember how precious the land, the birds and non-human world is.
I found the place quite cute and charming, loved the location, although a little difficult to get in a small car. The place needed a bit better of a clean especially some of the dishes. However all in all, I enjoyed my time and I enjoyed the serenity. If these few small issues were to be fixed, it would be one of my favourite holiday locations.
The property is such a calming and relaxing place. Thank you Jagad for your hospitality,
and letting us really feel at home at your place.
There is so much to keep the kids entertained, they picked tomatoes and salad from the garden, went swimming, amazing nature walks and we used the sauna everyday. There was even colouring in and reading books for kids too.
But the best added bonus to our family retreat was having access to the beautifully peaceful temple and having it to ourselves.
The property has so much character and presence of calm that we left feeling relaxed and revived. Thank you again for having us we will definitely be back.
Place is located in a very secluded area with plenty of wildlife about and a very casual approach well away from city / town life.
Picking your own fruit. fixing your own fire (it was winter and cold at night) was quite charming - but one guest has to be reasonably practical to enjoy it. The last section of the road to the accommodation was a little off-putting but a relatively low clearance model 3 BMW had no issue (apart from mud when it rained). I`ll come back - please!
Our weekend at Black Sheep Farm had us cut off from the world due to an out of the blue 48 hour downpour that resulted in the creek overflowing the road (a 4WD could have crossed with no trouble) being cut off physically was just what we needed emotionally too! Yes it rained the whole time but hey, you're in a rain forest so you can get that any where, anytime. Our host Jagad provided us with food for our stay (note to self - do a shop BEFORE arrival) 48 hours of reading and watching old DVD's - switching off from the outside world is what we need occasionally and Black Sheep Farm is the place to do it - rain or shine!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
No good enough
Pool was filthy no oven or microwave only one wine glass and the tv has no reception and dvd not working
Both front and back doors would not latch and kept flying open in the wind
Ended up cutting our stay short expect much better for the price we paid
A delightful place to stay. We especially enjoyed the veggie patch produce.
A serene place to put your feet up and just relax. I loved the full use of the veggie patch and fruit trees. The accommodation is charming and private and Wolf was an excellent host.
I would highly recommend the Black Sheep Farm to anyone who wants to disconnect from a busy schedule and soak in beautiful scenery.
An unique wooden cottage in the rainforest, with a private swimming pool and sauna (what a treat!).
Wolf and Jagad were resourceful to help us manage our situation - kids on holidays while husband working full time.
Thank you for a great week and hope to come up your way again.
Spiders throughout the house a concern with kids and outside bathroom whilst readily accessible was inconvenient having to go outdoors with kids during the evenings who where too scared to go on their own.
Beautiful spot. Unfortunately my family was unable to come with me so I was travelling solo and careless. I got dropped off and then made executive decision to have a shower and stay with my friends as I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get where I needed to go. I hope to stay at Black Sheep properly one day. Such a chill environment and great facilities.
This is a beautiful wooden cottage with stained glass and mosaics. It is surrounded by rainforest and it is a treat to have your own private pool. It needs a bit of a spring clean to get rid of the cobwebs in the rafters and the sauna and a tidy up around the pool, but this did not hinder the enjoyment of our weekend away. We look forward to returning for another holiday.
What a magical place to stay. Jagard is a wonderful host and picked up our friend in the evening to bring her to the cottage to save us the trip into town. The cottage is set amongst the beautiful rainforest of Nimbin with a short drive into the village. The tree frogs surrounding the pool each night were great to see.The only sound is the running stream. What a wonderful getaway and already planning a weekend in winter.
Perfect little property to hideaway and forget the world for a moment. We loved the pool, the sauna and a splash in the beautiful creek. Thank you Mac, pleasure to be your last guests xx
