About this property
⭐ Mid-Century Gem Nr Hiking, Beach, Airport, City
You might think it’s impossible to be steps away from lush forest hikes; stunning walks on a saltwater beach; 10 minutes to quick airport access; and about 30 minutes from everything downtown Seattle has to offer. Your serene Seattle home, nestled in 175-acre Seahurst Park, offers this and more.
The space
Spacious, classic updated Pacific Northwest home with mid-century charm and modern amenities. Off the beaten path — a genuine dead-end off a dead-end — no through traffic at all (except for neighbors). This 1,300 sq ft home features a gourmet kitchen with gas range, wood-burning fireplace, and vast views of forest, Vashon Island, and beyond. Generous space to relax and enjoy. Open-layout kitchen/dining/living room, and a large, separate entertainment room.
Three bedrooms —
Bedroom 1 -- sleeps 2; one king bed, private bathroom
Bedroom 2 -- sleeps 2; one queen bed
Bedroom 3 -- sleeps 4; two bunk-style queen beds
Den -- sleeps 2; one full-size sleeper sofa, separate door
Large, private garden for relaxing and entertaining, with 100 ft rustic rock wall, terraced garden, grill and fire pit, and warm lighting to enjoy by night.
Off-street parking is available for up to 4 cars.
Please note: Your Hosts, Ken and Dan, live on the property. They live in a separate, lower floor of the house. Your space — the main floor — is completely private. There are no shared spaces, and there is no access between floors. That said, the maximum number of guests is the number in the Airbnb reservation, and parties and loud music are not permitted. This is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and it’s ideal when our guests respect that. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Ken and Dan have lived in Seattle for many years, and are available for visiting tips and to address anything that might come up during your visit!
Seahurst Park is just steps away. Hike through rainforest-like canyons with towering, moss-covered evergreens, carpets of ferns, and rich bird life. Trails lead down to a beautiful driftwood-covered beach on Puget Sound with views of the Olympic Mountains.
Two kayaks are available for launching at Seahurst Park Beach (1/4 mile away). We can help you transport the kayaks down to the beach for a small fee.
And two bikes are available for exploring the area. (Note: This is a hilly area, so adventurous bicyclists will have some serious hills to tackle!)
