Cozy Private Lakefront Home

Cozy and Adorable home located in a private cove on Maine's Trophy Bass Lake. 3 Bedroom, one and a half baths, includes a kitchen with all of your cooking needs, living room with fireplace and a huge wrap around deck with view. Living room and loft include pull out sofa for more guests. The newly renovated basement has a play room that has a Smart TV and a futon that can easily become an extra sleeping area. The unfinished side of the basement includes a washer and dyer, life jackets and corn hole game for guest use. Outside enjoy the lake with our Kayaks and paddle boat or sit back and relax next to the campfire with a cocktail. A beach area and boat dock are included and the public boat ramp is close by. Home includes Cable TV and Wifi.
Enjoy the two community club houses at no charge which include heated indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center with sauna, weight room and more.
Also close to Southern Maine beaches, Old Orchard Beach is less than 45 minutes away, 45 minutes west of Portland, 1 1/2 hours from Boston and Manchester.

The Woods

The property was exactly as advertised. When we found the Keurig coffee maker was missing and called the owners who were in Florida, within 30 minutes we had a Keurig delivered!!!! We had a wonderful vacation in our cozy cove with kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, swimming and relaxing by the fire pit every evening and spending much time out on the deck for meals, reading and relaxing. We so enjoyed ourselves that we are rebooking for next year.

Aaaaaah can’t wait to come back!

We stayed a week in September for girls week. It was perfect. There was room for all of us to stay comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked for the chefs in our group! Cyndi was super helpful and responsive to any questions we had. She gave us some ideas for day trips to Portland and Kennebunk which are both a short drive. However, we really didn’t need to leave the property. This place is beautiful. Our mornings were spent drinking coffee and eating chocolates on the massive deck looking out onto the water. We spent our days kayaking and floating on our rafts. We had beautiful weather while we were there. One afternoon while kayaking I got caught in the most beautiful sun shower. It’s an amazing moment that I won’t soon forget. Our nights were spent around the firepit laughing and ended with delicious blueberry pie. Literally every night ended with us eating pie before bed. 😂 Such a quiet and idyllic place for us to stay. Can’t wait to go back again this year!!!!

Perfect spot to unplug and connect with each other

The family is getting older faster than I like to admit, and between our schedules of work, activities, homework, school, life in general, and being plugged in all the time, it's far too easy to slip into a routine of disconnect between each other. It shouldn't take an unexpected cancer diagnosis in the family to wake you up, but it did. When 1 loved one battles something like that, the whole family wakes up fast. So for Christmas, instead of more "stuff" around the house, the gift of time together was given. Time together with cousins and uncles and aunts, with kayaks and fishing poles - and a rope swing! A firepit at night to gather around, and stories to share as more are made together. My kids caught their first fish off this dock, together with their cousins, and their uncle getting it off the hook for them. A year prior I had watched my sister in law start chemo & radiation as her husband and kids kept brave faces all year with the strength I hope others never have to know. This trip, I watched her climb a tree to grab the rope swing, fearlessly jumping and splashing with joy as her boys looked on and joined in. We also loved heading over to the pool where my daughter's swimming really took off. We didn't have to go anywhere, with the fully stocked kitchen and groceries we brought as we dined together on the patio set overlooking the lake. The grill is perfect for summer meals. My whole family left that lake house with memories of a lifetime. Time passes by sifting through our fingers. Making the time, and investing in each other for to freeze time for a few days at this charming lake house was everything. My son has already asked me to book again this year!

What a wonderful way to get out of the city and into wilderness. We enjoyed our stay very much just lounging around this lakeside retreat. The kayaks were fun to take out. We bought some fishing poles and my son and husband spent time out on the dock and paddle boat reeling in some fish! The fire pit was nice to sit around. Great porch overlooking the lake. Beautiful kitchen. Everything in the cabin was clean and functioning. There are a couple nearby towns 10-20 minutes away that we went to to get groceries.

Nicer than pictures and great location!

We had a GREAT time here! the location was perfect, quiet mornings and perfect for paddleboarding. Loved use of the kayaks, and the house was much nicer than the pictures! really enjoyed grilling and use of the renovated kitchen. Views from the loft, the firepit was great and so helpful to have wood supplied. Mattresses were a bit soft for us which was a minor complaint, outweighed by all the other great things on the property! Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful!

Beautiful hidden jem

The cottage is lovely. Plenty of sleeping room with the 2 bedrooms and 2 pull out couches. The photos in the listing do not do justice to the beautifully updated kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, there is a grille outside and a large cooler on the deck for extra beverages. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. The cove is so quiet. We enjoyed the fire pit, fishing, swimming and floating on tubes with the hundreds of beautiful dragonflies. We were both surprised and delighted by the lack of mosquitoes. It is with hesitation that I highly recommend this cottage but only because I want to make sure it is available for my family to rebook next summer.

Great Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Lake Arrowhead. Great outdoor space for a fire and awesome deck to enjoy meals. Plenty of parking, everything we needed to cook, plenty of additional space in the basement, quiet neighborhood; overall a great experience and would highly recommend.

Beautiful!

We loved staying here! The house is beautiful and clean, the fireplace is awesome, plenty of firewood stocked. All the comforts of a home and all the adventure of the outdoors in one. We had one rainy day but still kept busy by using the indoor pool at the clubhouse, and played games together. Wonderful family memories made, thank you so much!

Nothing but relaxing

It’s hard to decide what my favorite part of this rental propert is. Is it my morning coffee on the huge deck over looking the peaceful lake? Or maybe taking a leisurely kayak ride ? It could even have been the lazy fires in the beautiful natural pit. It’s hard to pin point what I enjoyed most about this place. Only thing I know for sure is, I’ll be returning for sure!!!

A little slice of heaven

I stayed here for a girl's long weekend and it was amazing! We spent a lot of time by the fire. It's the perfect place to unwind. We went to Portland one day for lunch. Was a quick ride there. Also went to Kennebunkport. Close enough to everything but far enough in the woods to relax. The bed upstairs in the loft is SO comfortable and I slept like a baby. The house is well stocked with all the essentials so you don't need to bring much. Perfect for groups and families.

Book Club Girls Retreat

We had such a wonderful time visiting your oasis on the lake! The home was spotlessly cleaned and the kitchen was so well appointed, we didn’t need a thing! It was drizzling a bit when we arrived, so we sat on the beautiful wraparound deck with the umbrella up and had some wine while taking in the incredible view!! We took the kayaks out to the rope swing and private beach, the weather was just perfect! We had nightly fires at the fire pit and danced the night away! I will STRONGLY recommend bug spray at night, the mosquitos are brutal! The beds were so comfortable, and the living room had plenty of seating for our group. This place is a gem, and I recommend it to all of my friends!!

Very relaxing! Great fishing!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Adams’ lake house! The house is cozy and inviting. The fire pit is great and they even provided wood for us. We spent a lot of time relaxing either on the deck or by the fire. The kids had a blast fishing and being out in the water. The cove was perfect for them with the paddle boat. We will be back and I would recommend to others.

Perfect Lake House Vacation!

My family and some close friends of ours rented this great lake house on Lake Arrowhead. We had an awesome time! The house is cozy, charming, clean and big enough for several people to comfortably use it. It has a wonderful deck with a grill- which is where we spent every evening- looking out over the lake, eating dinner and playing cards. There is a dock- along with kayaks and a paddleboat. Our kids would jump right off the dock into the lake. We explored the lake and found awesome swimming holes and even a rope swing. It was the perfect, picturesque lake house vacation. I highly recommend renting this place. The owners were extremely easy to work with, and the house exceeded our every expectation. We hope we can come back again next year!

Good fishing (?), terrible swimming! Water in the cove is not swimmable. Lake is full of milfoil.

The owners were very nice. The view from the cabin was beautiful. The fire pit and hammock were a nice touch and the fact that firewood was provided was awesome. If you’re really into fishing (we’re not), this would probably a good place for you. However if the weather turns hot, every window and shade in the house needs to be closed to keep the temperature inside the cabin tolerable, so you lose your view from inside, and end up sitting in a dark cabin when you need a break from the sun. According to the owner, a series of unfortunate events, led to us arriving to a dirty cabin. I was able to contact the owner, sent her a few photos, and she immediately offered to refund our cleaning fee, and even offered to drive over the supplies that were supposed to be provided (dish towels, dish soap, fresh sponge, etc.), which we appreciated. That said, I wanted prospective renters to know this isn’t a spot you can swim off your dock. My son tipped his kayak in the cove near the dock, and the water actually smelled bad. We were there for 2 weeks and didn’t see anyone swimming in the cove the entire time. There are small beaches you can paddle out to that have some sand, but you can’t swim far before you’re back in the weeds. I missed having a/c which would have made indoor cooking possible. The clubhouse was a great feature, and my husband even tried the rope swing on a nearby island. We made the best of our time there, but would not return, we left a day early...it just wasn’t a great fit for our family. All that said, we arrived home to our refund and I appreciate the integrity of the owners.

Building lasting memories

My family stayed at your cottage in the summer of 2018. What an amazing property everything was perfect. My granddaughter enjoyed frog hunting daily right on the beach. The paddle boat was a big hit also with her she's 5. My adult sons brought their canoe and fished every night, on the 4th night they reeled in a monster bass 6lbs 8 oz. They let him go to live out many more years in Lake Arrowhead even though he could of got a pin from the state his picture tells it all. Catch and release him if anyone catches him again. We highly recommend Cyndi's home to all, the whole experience from start to finish was perfect. Thank You Hasenfus Family

Quiet, lovely spot!

My family had a wonderful time in this home. It was clean and cheery. We found that the owners were lovely to deal with and very responsive when we had questions. The kayaks and paddle boat were used daily. We rented a canoe from a company not to far ; they delivered and picked up. Fishing,right off the dock, was fabulous for the 9 year old , he was hooked every morning! The bed situation is ready for a small army of guests! The larger beds were a little soft for our taste but having nice cotton sheets and comforters to crawl between made it so pleasurable on the cool nights. The bathroom situation was a bit cramped! Fortunately you don't spend a huge amount of time in them but it was a squeeze. We used the fireplace which was lovely . Outside firepit was also a big hit! There was a plethora of stacked firewood , only problem I encountered there ,was the lack of an ax to split wood for kindling. Found a small hatchet that I made due with. It's kitchen was well equipped with tools, pots and pans that were a pleasure to use. We gifted the house with lobstah tools , only items not found there! lol You have to travel about an hour and 15 to get to the ocean or any other activity not centered around the lake or blueberry picking. Grocery shopping was not a problem as there is a Hannaford 15 minutes away. Walmart , 30-40 minutes away. Great vacation spot! Thank you for your attention to details that made our stay very , very nice!

Chillaxing!

Lovely house, lovely setting, everything our family needed for a very quiet, relaxing week. Our favorite thing to do was set out and explore on the paddle boat and kayaks. We discovered fun islands for swimming and rope-swinging! We enjoyed the fire pit every night! Wonderfully comfortable beds, everything we needed inside for cooking and grilling. We all agreed we would definitely go back!

Great Place to Stay

We are a family of six, and everyone fit in the house comfortably. The kids were on the lake everyday either fishing, kayaking or using the paddle boat. Kids caught plenty of fish. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.
