The hot tub was the perfect way to end a long day of hiking! We loved having the pool table for some rainy day entertainment! Very clean and loved the decor.
The cabin is in a great location and was the perfect getaway for us. The surprise visit by a mama bear and very young cub on the first morning was an amazing start. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
Cabin was very clean, cozy, and beautiful! Both floors are spacious and well stocked with everything you need. It should be noted, the only TV is on the main floor, and there’s a long stairway to the bedroom. It’s a challenging drive to the cabin, but we managed just fine! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cabin!
My wife wanted to get away together for Christmas. We really enjoyed the cabin. The location is far enough away from town to be quite but close enough that it only took a short drive to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We had a great time and will stay there again.
Pictures dont give it justice! So much room and absolutely beautiful! Perfect spot in the mountains and great view! Would highly recommend and would stay again. 100% satisfied.
The cabin was very peaceful and relaxing. I was looking forward to the hot tub, my wife noticed that there was no chlorine smell or tablets in the dispenser so she would not get in and the hot tub was leaking from somewhere. Otherwise, we had a very enjoyable weekend.
It’s been a couple year since when we rented a cabin.Cabins USA,
They had a horrible case of millipedes and filthy.
You can was very clean and had everything we needed.
Only area that needs attention 2 of your A/C vents don’t blow out air.
May be the reason upstairs never cools . One next to fire place and the upstairs bathroom.
This wasn’t a big deal but wanted someone to be aware.
We didn’t know we were going to have to drive to the top of a mountain to the cabin. Lol we were there for the Great Smoky Jeep Invasion so we really didn’t stay in the cabin much. The cabin is a really nice size, the bedroom is downstairs and is really a large room. We didn’t get in the hot tub the weather was extremely hot when we were there. We did play pool a couple of nights that was fun.
If you want to spend time outside the cabin there are a couple of nice decks. There is not a lot of yard and where the picnic table is it is pretty over grown and didn’t look like it was taken care of. Can’t really take a walk unless you want to walk on steep hills. Overall it is a very nice large cabin.
I want to preface this review by saying that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The critiques are purely 'expectational' as we would have packed/prepared differently/
The location of the cabin is pretty evenly situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The roads getting to the cabin are extremely narrow, very sharp curves, poorly maintained road signs. You are surrounded by other cabins on 3 sides, and they are VERY close. There should be no expectation of Privacy - the Hot Tub is in clear view of 3 other cabins.
The cabin itself is very dated. The bathroom feels like it's straight out of 1989. Shower head is not pleasant - more of a "wide Spray" like putting your thumb over the end of a hose. Tiles on the floor are loose and missing grout. The Garden Jacuzzi Tub is out in the bedroom, so if you had a Family staying here, you run the risk of someone walking down the stairs and seeing the 'full glory'.
The Heating/Cooling only works on the main floor (Kitchen/Living room) There is a Space Heater downstairs, but it is not large enough to heat the whole room. Extra blankets were required as the temps got down into the 30s outside.
The Patio/Terrace and Picnic areas are completely overgrown and unusable. During the fall/winter that's not a big deal, but the photos on VRBO make it seem like they are open.
There is no signage indicating the House Number (1714) or Cabin Name (Bear Cub) at the road. Every single other cabin has one.
This was a great cabin. It was spotless and beautiful. For there to be cabins all over the mountain, it was very private, as there are no cabins behind you(deck side), and the foliage mainly blocks out the one down the road on the other side. I would stay here again.

I honestly don't even know where to start. The pool table is stained really bad. The hot tub wouldn't cycle the water. We called the owner. Went straight to voice mail. We noticed that the upstairs was pretty warm compared to the downstairs, and there was water in the bottom of fridge. The owner finally got hold of us around 9:30pm. He knew about the nasty pool table. Told us that the hot tub didn't have air jets. Took 3 days to fully heat up. And then told us to pull an old towel out of the air duct to help with cooling the upstairs. We tried to be good sports about it. Went to bed. Got up the next morning, walked in the downstairs bathroom and the floor pinched my foot. The tiles are loose and grout is missing. The tiles are also loose in the upstairs bathroom. The baseboard on the downstairs bathroom was dirty. Went up to make breakfast. The skillets/ pans are scorched to no end. Everything stuck to the pans(even with spray). The third day we were there, I was walking into the downstairs bathroom and stepped on a tack/ nail where the carpet transitions to the tile. There is not a strip across the floor. Then we had ordered pizza to put in the fridge. It was covered in ice and water the next day. Let's not forget the toilet seat breaking the last night we were there. The mold and the wall peeling in the shower. If we didn't have prepaid plans, we would have left before our week was out. Entirely too much money for this level of neglect.
Although there were other cabins close by, the cabin was very quiet and semi secluded. The cabin was very clean, very cute and exactly as described. The gps took us to the location but the owners directions definitely helpedEven though we didn’t see any bears, The mountains were gorgeous. And we would rent this cabin again in a heartbeat.
GPS will have you stop a little too soon as the owner mentioned. No worries its right up the hill. Cabin was beautiful inside and out. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Our cell service was shotty and it was just what we needed to disconnect from the stress of every day life and get back to us. The pool table was a plus along with the hot tub. Very clean and if staying more than a weekend the washer and dryer would have been clutch. Located close to everything and far enough away for peace. Definitely a cabin i would stay at again!
This was the best vacation rental I've ever had. The location was fantastic, very close to all the attractions in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin is secluded, with a beautiful back deck surrounded by trees. We took advantage of the hot tub. The inside of the cabin is spacious and comfortable. We will be coming back again.
Very impressed with the size and cleanliness of the cabin. We especially liked the outdoor hot tub. Entire booking and stay process was very easy. The binder was not clear on how to use the TV, cable box, remote, what channel TV had to be on in order to access the cable channel #s listed. We were not expecting the steep, winding drive to the cabin however we did venture out everyday to explore the area.
