We spent new years eve here with 3 families and kids. The view was amazing and spectacular sunset from the yard. Also great view for stargazing at night. The kids also loved the sight of bunnies and a horse and a pony from the neighbour fence. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Perfect place for a family holiday we had a marvelous time . About a 10 minute drive to town, close to the waterfalls. Some of the gang had a fun time mountain bike riding on the electric bikes for hire. Beautiful views to relax by in the evening
The property name "Splendid Views" is very accurate as the property overlooks a valley. The view is expansive and beautiful. The house is big and accommodated our group of 5 singles - each wanting their own bedroom, although not every room has a double bed. The living area is large and the kitchen is also large and very well appointed. There are also two large outdoor areas which would be great for longer stays (or events). It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.A couple of additional observations ...It is further from Beechworth than we'd anticipated. About 10 mins by car to the city centre, by highway, so you can't just wander into town.We had to bring our own towels and linen, which isn't a big deal but something to know. The house isn't bright and modern. It was quite dark in some of the rooms. It's more a comfortable and homely feel.
Great place to stay, especially with a group .
Although on previous stays at this house we had linen and towels supplied.
This has changed ,and caught us out in this regard, ...pays to read before jumping .
Apart from that failure on my part it is a most excellent place relax with friends.
Absolutely beautiful views and gardens, could have been neatened up a bit before renting out though. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, in our bedroom, the fly screens were all ripped so we couldn't leave the windows open. In our shower the drain cover was sticking up, a tripping hazard.
The house would really benefit from some maintenance, inside and out.
Our group of 8 spent a lovely 7 nights there.
Amazing property in an amazing location. The pizza oven, the fire pit, the awesome grassed area, really hard to pick the winner, because all of those overlook an amazing scene.
Maurice and Jill were great hosts, who popped in for a quick chat, and some local advice, which we were very keen to take, but got too caught up in the property itself.
Beechworth has much to offer, but we felt the house did too, so we chose the latter :)
Can't wait to go back.
Thanks again.
Great view, lovely house and self-contained units and the pizza oven and fire pit were ready to go. Just a short drive to Beechworth also. Ideal house for larger groups.
Great views and not too far from the center of town. We had a great stay here and it was perfect for a big group. The kids loved exploring and playing outside and the bonfire was a nice touch on a cold night. Could've easily stayed longer.
This is a lovely home with a wonderful view, in a beautiful town. Our family group of 12 aged between 2 and 66 were all able to be comfortable and happy here. Hosts were super friendly, accommodating and responsive and we loved and applaud all the eco features. Sunsets viewed while tendig the outdoor fire pit were absolutely magical.

Amazing place, especially for a group traveling with kids
What a place; the views are amazing, it has a well set up fire pit area, plenty of room for kids both inside and out. Suited our group of 12 perfectly!

Great weekend for a group of 10
Second time our group have stayed here and we'll come again. Sitting in the back with a glass of wine, watching the sun set over the view was fabulous. Well equipped kitchen and lounge room and plenty of outdoor space for a big meal. Used the pizza oven this time too.
It's a rambling place with odd nooks and crannies and what not to like about that. Welcoming hosts. And plenty of hot water too!

Very appropriate name
We loved our stay at The Vision Splendid. They 'eye candy', (the views) was spectacular. The facilities were great. Small things could improve it of course, but on the whole, it was well presented and had everything we needed and more. Maurice and Jill were great hosts and we thank them for their care and welcome.
The only suggestion we would make is that instructions to the wood heater, the micro wave, dishwasher and oven would be really handy, and an information booklet about their sustainable projects would be really interesting.

Great views but didn't look like the pictures.
The view across the valley was lovely but I was disappointed to find the house surrounded on 2 sides by plastic sheeting preventing views of the garden. I asked if it could be removed and was told not to touch it. Also the views from the separate rooms were obscured by building works and orange builders netting. With tattered tables at the front door, a discarded child booster seat and plastic table cloths on the dinning tables (only when we started removing them were we provided with a table cloth from a recent wedding) my overall impression was that this propety was a bit tatty and over priced. Would be suited to young children.
