Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole home and garden space. There is a garage at the side of the house that is not for guest use.
Back yard - please note, that while the yard is fully fenced, we cannot guarantee that your dog will not escape. There is a short section of fence that is about 1.5m high, and could be jumped by a large and/or athletic dog. This leads into the fully fenced yard of the house next door, not straight onto a road or public space. According to our local government laws, dogs are not to be left unattended at the property, so the risk of escape is low but not impossible.
The Neighborhood:
Dunsborough is the jewel of the South West region, located on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. At low tide, the beach has shallow, clear waters, perfect for kids to play and splash around safely, and on a nice day you will find happy groups of visitors and locals alike paddling, floating, fishing and boating in the serene waters of the bay. Just outside of town there are some more secluded beaches, like Curtis Bay and Meelup.
Dunsborough is home to many lovely local boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and provides a hub for everyone to enjoy good shopping, food and entertainment. A laidback coastal town with a lovely community feel, it experiences a large swell in population during high season, yet you would be amazed how peaceful holidaying here can still be, thanks to beautiful surrounding bush, leafy suburbs and long stretches of pristine beach.
Beachscapes is located directly opposite the parkland at the beach. There is a walk/cycle path is opposite the house which extends into Dunsborough to the West and Busselton to the East.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
Please see the Guidebook for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, shop and what to see & do in this fabulous region. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, so please get in touch if you need any pointers ahead of your stay.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.
Getting Around:
Dunsborough has a number of walking and bike paths, meaning that it is very easy to get around on foot and any wheels of your choice. We are fortunate to have a couple of local business offering bike hire, and Dunsborough has recently been included in an e-scooter initiative. This house in particular is a short walk to town and directly across the road from the beach, so no need to hop in the car if you want to stay local. Visitors wishing to explore the surrounding area will need a car.

The property was perfect for us and for our dogs. The yard was enclosed and they loved it! Well equipped kitchen and the bathroom was lovely and clean.
Wonderful property with a fabulous garden, and everything you need within the house.Simply stroll across the road to a beautiful dog friendly beach. Easy walking distance to town. We'll definitely be back.
The property was very tidy and neat. It was a nice short walk into town with beach access basically across the road. Will definitely be back to this property if down south again!
We were at this property for a week and it was lovely. House was super clean, had everything we needed, backyard was perfect for our dog and the best location for a walk into town.
Spent a couple of nights here and was very comfortable. Great facilities & beach 2 minutes across the road. Large fenced garden made it ideal for our pet. Would definitely book again.
Agent very easy to deal with. House is a perfect holiday rental. Well equiped, clean and very comfortable beds. Excellent location. Only drawback is the house is dark internally but has good lighting
Very comfortable house, with a great backyard for dogs. Excellent location opposite the dog beach and walking distance to the shops. Very comfortable beds & lots of nice extras. There was only three of us so it was perfect - if we'd had many more, a second bathroom might have been helpful. We wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks very much for a lovely holiday!
Excellent layout, pristine cleanliness, very comfortable bedrooms, outside shower really handy as is the second toilet. The kitchen is really well appointed and quite spacious with a pantry you cant see in photos. The unexpected delight are the very beautiful and expansive gardens. Both sitting on the verandahs or in the backyard it is so glorious and rejuvenating.
Thank you for having us, we had a ball! This well appointed and conveniently located home is right on the waterfront and close to wonderful Dunsborough. Plenty of homey extras to make a short stay more enjoyable. Communications with the property manager were professional and friendly. We will be back!!!

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am so glad that you had a great time and there was certainly lots to do in Dunsborough over the Long Weekend and you had the perfect spot to be part of the action.
Kind Regards
Cheryl
This is a great property for dog owners. Large, secure fenced yard for our Labrador who loved being so close to the dog beach. Very clean and today with generous amounts of essentials provided for our stay. Minor quibbles include a missing door handle on the front flyscreen which made opening and closing it difficult and a lack of an indoor recycling bin. We will certainly be staying at this property again as we are frequent visitors to Dunsborough.
Spotless, extremely well equipped with high quality kitchen equipment, cutlery and extra touches. Beds were so comfortable we wanted to know the make! The whole house was just right. Easy walk to town. Quiet area. Highly recommended. Plenty of space in garden for a pet. Large drive. Smart TV allowed us to use our own Netflix and YouTube.
