Emergency Procedures
We are glad to say that in our 16 years of ownership of this property, we have not experienced any damage from a Hurricane or Tsunami at this location. It is good practice, however, to have an emergency plan in place as this property is located in a Tsunami Evacuation Zone. Please see the map below which details the preferred routes and emergency locations for both Hurricane and Tsunami Warnings. In essence, Hurricane Shelter is provided at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center, one block West; and in case of Tsunami Warning, local residents drive up the close by Highway 552 towards Waimea Canyon / Koke`e Park. Most experts say that once you are at least 100 feet above sea level, you are out of Tsunami danger. This can be accomplished in approximately a five-minute drive from the house. We loved everything about this place!

Beautiful sunsets, gorgeous view of the ocean, quiet location, plenty of room to spread out, comfortable environment, gracious and responsive host. The host family made sure we had everything we needed, and when asked, they provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities!

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot!

We absolutely loved this vacation home! The view of the ocean from the deck was beautiful and we ate out there everyday. The kitchen was well-stocked. The home was clean and spacious. The owners were super responsive to all our communications. We would highly recommend this location!

Amazing Views

Jules and Patrick were perfect hosts. Their home is absolutely amazing. All amenities you could possibly need. The property is even nicer than it appears in photos. Our group of 8 adults were super comfortable. Every room has own bath/shower. Jules gave us many great recommendations and was super responsive when we had a question. MAHALO…for sharing your beautiful home!!!

Excellent Family Trip

The home and location were perfect for our big family. We loved spending time on the balcony and particularly appreciated that each room, except for one, has its own bathroom. We also wanted to be on the drier side of the island, with easy access to Waimea Canyon hikes and the beach in Poipu. This home was perfect for that. That said, we were pleasantly surprised with the beach down the street from the house. It’s quieter and much less crowded than the beaches up north, and beautiful! Overall, 10/10 stay. Finally, the hosts were the best. Jules and Patrick checked in throughout the trip and provided great recommendations — they are some of the most attentive and thoughtful hosts we have encountered.

Balcony of Serenity

The balcony view steals the show, a beautiful way to start your day with coffee on this balcony. The house did not disappoint. We were 3 families totaling 10 with plenty of room and space for everyone comfortably. 4 master bedrooms with private restrooms in each. Had an additional bedroom for lil children attached to upstairs master with another single bedroom. We had a few issues but nothing major that the owners didn't address right away. The only thing I would recommend is make renters aware if you or others will be entering the home while guests are out for repairs and make sure it's ok prior to making those arrangements. Would highly recommended this rental. Got to experience the calm South side of Kauai near Waimea. If you are looking to stay away from the busy Lihue/North side this is a perfect location.

Excellent Visit

This home is located right at the ocean with easy access to the beach. We had some unforeseen upon arrival but working closely with Patrick and Jules they were able to resolve things in a few days and really went the extra mile. On your way from the airport, stop at Costco for bulk items (eggs, bacon, liquor, chips, etc.) There is a Safeway near Costco so get things that perish quicker from here and in reasonable quantity. There is also a local market in Waimea if you need emergency items you missed. Waimea Canyon is a short drive from the house and absolutely do not miss Polihale Beach. The road is not paved and quite bumpy but you will not regret the adventure. It's a very short distance from the house. There is some road noise when sitting on the Lanai, but honestly, you won't even mind it because you're looking out at the ocean all day. Kekaha is much more quiet than many of the other locations on Kauai; and it's the dry side of the island so it doesn't get a ton of rain which is great if you enjoy the sunny weather. However, any short drive on the island you'll likely enjoy a pop up rain shower every now and then. Overall a great visit and we looking forward to visiting the island again. The best VRBO I’ve Been To

My husband and I just got married in Kauai and were looking for a big home to share with our family and a few close friends for the duration of the trip. I’m SO grateful that we had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home and can say with 1,000% certainty that if we travel to Kauai with a group again we will definitely plan to stay here again! The bedrooms were all nice and there were enough bathrooms that nobody had to share. The house was well stocked and if there was something that we needed Jules was very quick to respond and would get it to us right away! The shared living spaces were perfect for our group to hang out in and the deck and back yard with the ocean view were even better than I could have imagined. Jules also was very helpful when it came to recommendations/updates on things to do while on the island. The one thing that was a challenge was this side of the island seemed to have more mosquitoes, but nothing that some bug spray couldn’t solve! We also enjoyed how quiet and laid-back this part of the island is and it really was SO close to Waimea. After the rest of our group left my husband and I checked into a smaller VRBO for our ‘honeymoon’ and we were just so disappointed with it after staying in this amazing rental. If you’re on the fence about this place, just book it, I guarantee you won’t regret it! While we didn’t have any children in our party, there was an adorable room that had smaller beds for kiddos so it would be perfect for a family!

The view of the ocean from the patio was amazing so was the outdoor areas but the inside of the house not so great. Bathrooms/toilets old and dirty. Dishwasher didn’t work and all the pillows were old and dirty.

Great Stay!

Our stay at this VRBO in Kauai was absolutely perfect! The location was stunning—so close to the ocean that we could hear the waves and enjoy breathtaking sunsets every evening. The home itself was spacious and well-equipped, comfortably accommodating our large group with plenty of room to relax.The host was fantastic—she responded quickly to all our messages and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even providing folding chairs and a tent for the park. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable.We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kauai, and if we ever return, we wouldn’t hesitate to book it again!

Ample room for 4 couples, loved that we each had our own bathrooms. Gorgeous sunsets from lanai. Beaches just up the road, lots of hiking nearby in the canyon. This house was perfect for us.

You can watch the waves all day!

The house was large enough for our party of nine. The teens loved the foosball table and everyone enjoyed the deck. The stars at night were amazing. There were plenty of plates, glasses, and place settings of silverware. We had several beach towels and chairs to use on the beach. We did end up driving to Lihue and beyond a few times but the house and laid back Waimea area offset the drive to activities.

The house was amazing! We had a group of eight adults, and there was still room for children if necessary. The owners were awesome and I can’t thank them enough for our stay. The Ocean View and patio was just perfect for us. We preferred a desolate side of the island, and this was great. Thank you for our stay, we will be back!

Amazing property

This property exceeded our expectations!!! House was huge, clean and filled with everything we needed for the week. The kids loved their personal little beds. Beautiful view

Our stay included 9 adults and 3 children. This house defiantly had plenty of room for all of us. We very appreciative of all the accommodations for the grandchildren. We had mattresses for the toddlers and a crib for the infant. We spent so much time on the deck. The deck has a porch swing and a hammock. Everyone in our group had their own bedroom. Location is somewhat away from some of the more popular things to do on Kauai, but to come back to this house and for everyone to spread out was the way to go for us. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Most of all our time was spent upstairs. Owner was available for any questions or concerns. Most defiantly would recommend this home for a big family. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!!

First trip to Kauai Family of 8

We enjoyed our stay very much. We chose the west side of the island because we knew we wanted to enjoy sunny beaches. The weather was perfect during our stay! The home was spacious and beds were very comfortable. Hosts were wonderful about communicating and checking in with us. The view from our lanai was everyone’s favorite!

Girls Week

We rented this home as a girls only vacation. The listing is accurate, the view is amazing, and the house is plenty big for larger groups. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided us with some assistance as well as great meal recommendations. It is aways away from some things but it was just what we were looking for. It is an island afterall so you can get anywhere in less than 90 minutes. We were 20 minutes from our whale watching cruise and you are right next to the road that takes you to Waimea Canyon. We even took a trip to Princeville and got there in less than 90 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Why they chose this property

There are couple of things that make this property, in our opinion, better than other options. First~ 5 bedroom 5 bathroom! Everyone has their own bathroom/private areas to include TV's, Lanais, etc. Privacy to take a nap, read a book, watch your own show; or join the group on the large ocean view lanai. Second~ Our property has Central Air Conditioning! Most other properties may only AC the bedrooms. AC is exceptionally expensive here so this is a great luxury. Third~ The Tiki Bar grilling area overlooking the ocean. Great times to be had here! Fourth~ I live close by and this means a higher level of service to you; recommendations are automatic and any of life's problems that come up are handled in a snap! We hope to see you.

What makes this property unique

Our guest really enjoy the front door access to Waimea Canyon and Kokee Park. Our neighborhood also has the beginning of the longest white sand beach in Hawaii! If enjoying the Natural Beauty of Kauai is your goal, we are your solution! Waimea Town is 3 miles away for all necessary conveniences from grocery stores to fully staffed hospital.
