This lovely cottage has 2 cosy bedrooms, lounge with a firebox in the fireplace, sunroom with a day bed, and a back deck with a lovely outlook. I has lovely front and back gardens which are filled with flowers in the appropriate seasons.The cottage is a great base for your Blue Mountains visit.
Please not that smoking is NOT allowed in the cottage

Relax is yesteryear charm, snuggle up next to the fireplace or take a long soak in the claw-foot bath. Explore the many nearby bush walks and potter around the local shops. The cottage is self-contained with high quality linen and towels, and a fully-equipped kitchen.

- A great base camp for the many spectacular local bush walks.
- 5 minutes from the township of Blackheath, with it antique shops, cafes, a weekend market and numerous dining and drinking choices.
- A convenient staging point for day trips further afield to the Jenolan Caves or the vineyards of Mudgee and Rylstone.
- Located in a quiet street, just minutes on the Kanimbla Valley side of Mt Victoria and its train station.
- Go apple picking at one of the local orchards... Read the paper from cover to cover... Wander down the road and watch the sun setting at Pulpit

Great stay!

Charming Character-filled Mountain Getaway

We were really impressed by the comfort, warmth and cleanliness of this property. All communication with the owner was prompt and informative, we appreciated the great suggestions which we followed for walks, sights and places to eat. Our dog felt very welcome and catered for too. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful Blue Mountains Getaway

We had the loveliest weekend at Pauline’s cottage. It was even prettier than it looked in the pictures, and was really well set up for our family of 4 and dog. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and great shower/bath. Would definitely book to stay here again.

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful weekend away with our baby. Pauline was fantastic to deal with and the cottage was beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Cosy and clean

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy and clean cottage. Close to lots of walks. Convenient to visit Blackheath and Katoomba but much quieter.

Comfortable cottage

A quaint comfortable cottage, we had cooler weather while there, the heating was quick to warm up. Great instructions for heating the wood fire. We were greatful to have an early check in, Pauline was very helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Stratford cottage. Unseasonably cold for Nov but the house very cosy

Having had to postpone our trip twice due to Covid lockdown, Pauline was very accommodating with re-arranging dates. We were not disappointed. The house was perfect, everything you could ever want for a relaxing stay. The garden was perfect for our dog to wander around.

Best of Blue Mountains

Extremely clean, well supplied and cosy cottage, exactly as described in its listing. Beautiful sun room at the back of the cottage has exquisite leadlight windows and was a very comfortable setting for relaxed family meals. Our dog was also well accommodated with a fully fenced yard, food dishes and some green grass to keep trimmed! Our family would definitely return for a longer stay.

Short Break.

Thanks Pauline, your house was super cosy. A generous host, plenty of glasses, cups, plates and knives. A very tasteful property, great fire and heating. Well maintained. Makes such a difference when owners consider their guests. Plenty of firewood. very relaxing.

Great cottage, perfectly kept and maintaines

Cottage is perfectly kept and is an ideal break away from the city. The house was rustic with high ceilings, timber flooring and retained all the old features while at the same time being practical and exceptionally clean. The kitchen has been updated and is great for cooking in. The fire was a great add to our weekend away. Thank you

Lovely country cottage

Lovely sense of stepping back in time to a country cottage. Warm and cosy with the central heating and the fun of a fire which worked very well and was great to look at. All excellently organised. Close to lots of bush walks. We saw wallabies, king parrots and a lot of local cockatoos. Great fun.

A loved home with all the comforts you need

Stratford Cottage is a homely place that has everything we needed for our stay. There's central heating to us comfortable throughout the day and night, and a fireplace, with wood provided, to keep us toasty. My dog loved the open backyard, which was fully fenced and provided enough running space for zoomies. Pauline is a very thoughtful and responsive host who responded very quickly to our feedback. She has all the basic cooking necessities stocked in the pantry, as well as tea and coffee for those who need a caffeine boost. We'd love to return for another stay.

Relaxing stay in a cosy and comfortable cottage

Impeccably tidy, cosy little cottage for an incredibly relaxing weekend away. We got lucky with what must have been the first hint of cold weather which meant a fabulous fire enjoyed with a great book, a glass of Shiraz and a collection of cheeses we found at a fantastic little deli in Blackheath only 6 minutes up the road. A great night out as well at the Mt Vic Flicks, a gorgeous meal at Fumo (Pauline's recommendation) and everything we could have wanted back at the cottage. Plus our little dog really loved the garden! Would definitely stay again. Thanks Pauline for having us.

Perfectly Charming

Have you ever seen the movie “The Holiday”?We felt that we stepped into Kate Winslet’s home in that movie. From the moment we stepped inside, we fell in love with its character. It’s super cozy and was a perfect size for our family of 3 including our 2 pups who loved the gardens. The beds were comfortable and the location isn’t too far from some very beautiful lookout points. If you are in the area, I highly recommend the Japanese Bath House, it was about a 29 minute and worth it. Pauline was easy to reach and extremely flexible, the house is fitted with all of the necessities that make it feel like a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Pauline!
