Absolutely thrilled! A beautful property, so light filled and amazing art work. Everything a person could need was provided and the beds so comfortable! So many beautifully appointed rooms to explore and stunning outdoor landscapes.
Beautiful historic property- very comfortable and clean with everything you need. Great location. We all enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.
Arrived to a lovely, warm and clean house, comfy bed. Really enjoyed the outdoor bath and watching Netflix. Enjoyed reading in the library. Location fantastic, didn’t need to use the car. Great communication with owner. Has everything needed for a lovely weekend away.
Thank you for such a beautiful accommodation with the historical charm combined with modern comfort. We appreciated the small details like the fresh flowers in several rooms, loved the fireplaces and the outdoor bath, while the kids had a great time exploring the available toys and books!
The property was perfect, clean, cosy and comfy. Close to everything we wanted to do in the region. The owner's communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
Most impressed with this stunning property
Decor was very pleasing and the owner has impeccable taste, very comfortable and well equiped
Just a lovely weekend away in a amazing property
A wonderful place to stay for a girls weekend. The house is amazing with everything you need for a great weekend. The farmers market on the Saturday was a great surprise right outside our door.
Loved this accomodation from the moment we walked in. This might be the first place I’ve stayed that looked even better in person than in the listed photos. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much <3
The atmosphere of the old bank is stunning, the entire family really enjoyed the property and being walking distance from everything in town made the entire stay an absolute joy. Lisa was also very accommodating and quick to help where ever she could!
This space has it all - a well-stocked kitchen, a large dining table for playing board games, three cozy spots to sleep and a comfy room for resting on couches and chatting til the wee hours of the morning. We love this quite little spot, tucked away at the end of the main road in Lancefield. There's great coffee available every day across the street, and you are well-situated to go visit Woodend, Romsey, or other locales in just a short trip. Bonus, if you come on the weekend of the Lancefield Farmers Market you can just walk across the street to it and get everything you could possibly want for your stay!
Superb property, location and experience. Everything you need to cook and/ or relax. Thank you for helpful us enjoy my Mother's birthday! We will be back!
we stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding close by. the venue was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and very well set up. Sunday late checkout was an unexpected bonus. highly recommend, but note only 1 real bathroom which was just ok for the 5 of us
We were travelling to attend my son's wedding and were treated to the beauty and convenience of this Lancefield property for a "home base." Highly recommend, and we were sorry to have to leave. Thank you from all of us.
Lisa’s home is beautifully appointed! Comfortable and well equipped with all you may need. Immaculately clean. Outside garden are was really lovely to immerse yourself in. It suited us perfectly being in town and so close to the Mechanics Institute where our daughter had her wedding. The beds were very comfortable with lovely doonas /linen. Very impressive art work too. One thing to note, in our opinion is the upstairs single bed/trundle room is possibly more suited to children rather than adults due to its position. We had a lovely stay ! Thank you Lisa

Thank you for your lovely review Helen, it was a pleasure to have you stay. To clarify for future guests, the upstairs bed and trundle are actually both King Single beds, so well suited to adults ( the beds being bigger than a normal single) , although the room is smaller and upstairs.

Hi, I'm Lisa! My husband and I are avid fans of historic buildings, especially in regional Victoria. We were absolutely thrilled to purchase the former National Bank of Australasia in Lancefield a few years ago and love learning about its history, finding photos from its heyday and sharing all of this with our guests. In addition to this very special property I also own and manage a coastal holiday property on the Mornington Peninsula. I really enjoy creating holiday homes that are just how my own family likes them: fresh, stylish, comfortable, well supplied and easy to spend time in - I hope you enjoy this one too.
Why they chose this property
