About this property

Secluded Romantic Dollhouse in Downtown Historic District

Our cottage (Blue Crystal Hideaway) is an adorable little house located at the back end of our property behind our main house. It is only 1/2 block from the historic downtown district and 1/2 block off the historic loop. If you prefer not to walk downtown, there are multiple trolley stops nearby. You will love our romantic doll house with cathedral ceilings, fireplace, and jacuzzi, rose colored lace curtains, as well as antique furnishings. Equally charming is the cozy, attic-like feel of the bedroom space, igniting the spark of high romance and sweet memories of times long ago. Gourmet continental breakfast and a bottle of sparkling wine are included with your stay. You will also enjoy the quiet secluded location and occasional sightings of deer and white squirrels from your front porch. Enjoy the serenade of the many songbirds that live in the trees that surround the house. In addition, during evening hours, you can feast on the magical display of the fireflies in your front yard. Don't want to head out for dinner? Our cottage is equipped with a fully functional kitchen including stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker. Our place is ideal for couples but singles are also welcome.

Spring weekend in Eureka Springs
Overall a great place to stay with a clean, nicely decorated cabin very close to the historic district of Eureka Springs. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars are the sleeping and sitting arrangements. Downstairs there is a love seat and two kitchen chairs and the bed in the loft is a full size bed. While the place is small and fine for two people it would have been nice to have a couch and a queen size bed. Also just a note to climb up the loft you will have to go up a ladder with a very steep angle. It’s not difficult but if you have mobility issues this could be an issue for you.

Wonderful rental
My wife and I stayed here for anniversary. This was an absolutely wonderful quaint rental. Communication with the property manager was easy and excellent. There was champagne and orange juice (Mimosas) waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived as well as a variety of muffins for the 2 of us for each day of our stay (they were absolutely delicious)... to be clear, this was the " breakfast" mentioned in the ad which we were absolutely fine with. I felt that it was a nice touch and made us feel welcome. The place is located easily within walking distance from the downtown but be aware that the incline is somewhat steep for those who may have difficulty walking. In addition, the ladder going up to the bedroom is also quite narrow and steep... enough that it would be difficult to carry a larger/heavier suitcase up or somewhat challenging if you have difficulty walking. However, I actually felt that it added to the quaintness and charm of the place... reminded me of when I was a kid and would sleep in a loft. We definitely will consider coming back to this place in the future.

Blue us away!
(I know it should be "blew" and not "blue" but I couldn't help myself since it's the Blue Crystal Cottage). Seriously, though, it's bizarre how a place can feel like it's in the middle of no where but you're actually a few minutes WALK from a coffee shop, shopping, and more. Everything was perfect. After the drive we unpacked and immediately got into that Jacuzzi tub. My husband definitely enjoyed the fireplace. He sat on the love seat and read while I was sleeping a lot. Or the porch. He reads a lot and I sleep a lot when we're on vacation. Actually, that's always true but it's better when you're on vacation. While in Eureka Springs we did a ghost tour, shopping, I think we went to The Brews everyday, went on a trail ride, and after we'd packed up we even hit Cosmic Caverns on our way home. I ate ALL THE MUFFINS. My husband drank all the mimosas (I did try some but I just don't really drink. Personally, I could have spent the whole vacation in the cabin and been pretty happy. We left a message in one of the little diary things under the TV but it seemed like we were the first people to do so for over a year. I would 100% stay here again. My only regret is that we were only there for 3 days. Also, the bed could have been bigger if you're sleeping 2 ppl in it but we're small and made it work.

Historic Downtown
This property is beautiful. The decor is incredible and the furnishings are comfortable. So quaint and the perfect size for couples. The grounds are breathtaking. Very easy to walk into the downtown area. Very isolated and quiet, yet mere minutes to the historic downtown shops and eateries. Well stocked with toiletries and basics. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend this property and host.

Lovely Victorian Cottage Close to Downtown
Our stay here was both comfortable and enchanting! It had everything we needed to to feel at home during our stay in Eureka Springs. We enjoyed watching the deer from the porch, curling up by the fire with books, and easily walking into the historic downtown whenever we felt like a bite to eat and a bit of shopping. Despite being at the back of the hosts property, the cottage is very private and you are surrounded by nature. I enjoyed my stay here and would do it again!

Gary grew up in Los Angeles and attended UCLA and the University of Arizona. He lived in rural Wyoming for a time before moving to Colorado. Kathy grew up in Arkansas and spent many wonder-filled years exploring the forested Ozark mountains. She attended Centenary College and the University of AR. We married in 2009 and moved from Denver CO to Eureka Springs in the fall of 2015.

Why they chose this property

We are thrilled to have our "dream come true" place of our own in this magical and charming little town. Over the years we have both enjoyed many extended stays in Eureka Springs and we know you will find much to enjoy during your time in our lovely little B&B. We are located in the historic district just a short 1/2 block off White Street known for its trendy shops and restaurants, as well as the historic downtown area with all its quaint shops and restaurants, spas and galleries.

What makes this property unique

We were thrilled to find this lovely secluded cottage in the historic district, located just a short walk from the heart of town. We especially love the fact that the architecture mirrors that of our historic Victorian home built in 1900 by a well known architect named Perkins. We were charmed by the doll house effect of this tiny structure, with its loft bedroom, cathedral ceilings, fireplace, and jacuzzi. There is magic everywhere, from the adjacent wooded hollow to the deer sightings, as well as the blinking lights of fireflies - all for your enjoyment from the front porch.
