Villa Britton, Experience Apres Ski, unique fun & comfortable home.

Your home away from home is the main floor of a duplex. Very spacious, and private.
Host is on the property in s separate suite, available for you; and also fully respects your privacy.
Home is a large, comfy cottage like home, with a very big park like yard and good privacy. There is a large full kitchen, dining and living room.
Ample parking for several vehicles.
There is a nice patio/ lounging, smoking area with propane fire pits, fun lighting, hammocks and lots of seating.
35 to 45 minutes to either Whitewater or Red Mountain ski hills.
10 minutes to nice beaches, hiking, biking and paddling.
U pick fruit in season, we have cherries, apples, plums, apricots and pears.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.

Our house rules: no smoking, no pets.
Smoking only outside or in heated patio area.
Fruit picking is seasonal.

Great place to crash after skiing for the day

Had a wonderful experience at Villa Britton. Both hosts are lovely and nice, place is super clean and they even decorated it for New Year's Day.

David has a very lovely home and was super friendly. He gave us a tour of the place and showed us how things worked. He obviously loves his home. Attention to details and even had coffee, muffins, fruit and other breakfast fixing to get us going the next morning.

West Kootneys Family Trip

Villa Britton was a perfect place for our family trip to the Kootneys. David (and Mo) were the perfect hosts! They opened up their home to our family and made sure we had everything we needed and more. We made use of the “Tiki Hut” room every night and sat around the gas fire that made a perfect end to the day. Our 3 grandkids loved the zip line. David’s archade room was a dream come true for the grandkids as well as the adults. The house was stocked with everything that you would need and David had fruit, muffins and pastries there upon our arrival. It was a great place for our family trip! Thanks David and Mo!

This is a really unusual, but fun, space. It's full of art, posters, maps, books, and souvenirs from around the world. I'm not sure I'd like to live there permanently, but it certainly was fun to visit. The kids really enjoyed it, in particular the zip line, the electronic arcade game, the foozball table, and the sprinkler. The house is not modern, but was well-equiped and very clean with lots of room for our family of six. David was a very welcoming host providing a full tour and a plate of muffins on our arrival!

Villa Britton is the only place to stay in Castlegar if you want to have fun!

What an amazing place for adults and for kids alike. David and Maureen are the greatest hosts ever! The place is a giant playground! Everything you could think of wanting was there, and tons of things you didn’t know you wanted. David was a great guide and took us to a beautiful “private beach” ( if you get there before anyone else ). And it was breathtaking. We cooked chicken on the beach and watched the sunset. David was also great to the kids. We had 5 kids all under the age of 6, And he took them all out on a paddle boat for a pirate cruise! What a fantastic experience! We will be back! We now have a lifetime friend in David and Maureen!

Unique place to stay

Amazing outside "man cave" with fire pits. Fit all the guests needed. Fully stocked with everything you need, including spices and condiments. All we had to buy was groceries. He had fresh muffins and fruit for us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again.
