The cabin was nice and clean, but we found an unusual amount of dead and alive roaches. One appeared from the couch cushion and about gave my daughter a heart attack. And the bed in the upstairs room feels like it sags on the outside. I felt like i was falling off the bed. Otherwise it was great.
Great cabin tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Clean, comfortable. The basement game room was a huge bonus as were the porches. Owners were wonderful to work with.
Host provided excellent communication throughout. Cabin is nice, clean and perfectly located for our north Georgia vacation. Though we didn’t use it nice room in the basement for families with kids.
A little disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. During the stay there were three cockroaches found. One decided to join me in the shower. One half dead. One dead. There was also used tampons (bloody) in the bathroom downstairs and a used applicator behind the trash can where the used tampons were located. The stove had only two working burners, which made meal preparation difficult.

We had good communication with host and easy checkin. However, there were alot of ants and big cockroaches. I understand its a cabin in the woods. But, it couldve used an extermination. The grill was really dirty. The coffee maker didnt work. There was a knob missing on the stove. We read in the welcome book that the creek behind the cabin was one of the first in Dahlonega that gold was found. We followed the trail to the creek but were told by the neighbor that we were on private property and could not acsess the creek. So that was misleading. The hot tub was nice and clean. And it worked so that was good. There was plenty of space and lots of quilts. If you dont like going up and down alot of steep stairs then this is not the place for you.

We have addressed the bug issue with Orkin and nobody has had issues since and we have also replaced the coffee maker.

It was a cute property and pet friendly. I don’t think the owners have been to this property in quite some time or updated pictures. It has been painted, so do not look for a wooden sided cabin. It is a khaki color now. However, a 200 cleaning fee plus an extensive cleaning list at the end of our stay was excessive for the cleanliness of the property. There were cobwebs and roaches. The owner communicated with us and tried to solve the problem, but unfortunately, I think it’s a serious issue. A few others have commented on it recently. We saw a lot of babies and killed them. My son and my daughter had roaches crawl on them in the evening while in their beds in separate rooms.
We had a great family gathering. The layout was very accommodating. However, the stair rails to the loft were wide enough for our 4 year old to fall through. The front and basement door knobs need to be replaced, they are difficult to open. The towels and linens were clean, but the cabin had cobwebs and dusty with many live and dead roaches throughout. We had to purchase roach motels.

There are absolutely NO roaches in our cabin! We even had Orkin follow up after this guest reached out for $$$ and they found nothing. The door knobs all work properly as well.
We enjoyed our stay. We loved the cabin and have no complaints. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had every thing we needed. The complimentary snacks, coffee and mug were an added bonus. Thank you, we would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed the stay but the place has pests issues. We will not be back.

We contractually use Orkin for our pest control but the cabin is in the woods so occasionally there is a bug or two that sneak into the cabin. So sorry for the inconvenience.
