Lovely, clean and comfortable accommodation, beds were great. The only downside for us was the lack of cooling in the bedrooms, fans would normally have been sufficient, but didn't really cut it on a 43 degree day. We would still stay again if in the area.
My sister and I had a wonderful stay in your house Janine, Thankyou.
The cottage is beautiful, very clean well equipped and perfect for a visit to the sanctuary and Yarra valley.
The bird life in the garden is amazing.
Thankyou again.

We had a lovely weekend away at this cute cottage in Healesville. Loved the view from the back windows and the birds - king parrots, magpies and more. It was close to the Healesville Animal Sanctuary, a great adventure playground and the town. The house was clean with modern furniture and everything that we needed - comfortable bed, a nice deep bath and heating. Bath towels were not provided but overall a great place to stay!

Thank you for you review. I apologise for there being no towels. It’s a terrible oversight by me . Please know that you should of contacted me so l could rectify that for you. I live up the road. Again I’m very sorry.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the large bathtub was a real hit. The location was perfect for us with a playground in easy walking distance for the kids. We definitely will visit again!
The house was wonderful, clean and beautifully set up. Garden Was great for our toddler And the bath was perfect
The only thing is that there is no light at the top of the driveway which has large ditches (drains) on either side which was a little scary
Very peaceful area. Aircon was onnpoint during the 40+ days.
Very clean, with everything you need
Thanks for having wifi 😉👍

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
This could be so much better...
A family illness meant we could only stay 2/3 nights, making a not cheap rental expensive, we expected a classy stay.
The modest weatherboard cottage is on the road to Healesville Sanctuary, just a few hundred metres from a great playground and the main street. Down a short but steep driveway to a rather unkempt garden.
Inside is nicely renovated, but there are small irritations - a cracked coffee plunger, broken bread knife, assorted cutlery, tears in the couch fabric, dirty outdoor table and chairs.
There were no bath towels, not noticed till the evening, but we got no response to messages till someone brought them a full day later.
Is a shame really, a thorough check before new rentals would fix the problems.
The house was clean, well appointed and easy proximity to the town. The bath was a hit the kids. Our only downside was lack of privacy locks on toilet/bathroom and master bedroom. Otherwise a great little getaway place.
We really enjoyed staying here. Lovely and clean. Kids loved the big bath! Janine was great.

Great stay and great location
We really enjoyed our stay in the cute little house! The arrival wasn't ideal in that we weren't given information on accessing the key but this was soon fixed with some prompt messages by Janine. The house was very clean with plenty of blankets and towels. The wifi was great but given the username wasn't listed in the info book it was trial and error of about 8 different possible wifi connections - an easy fix that i suggest could improve this process. The house had plenty of toilet paper and a few staples, eg oil, salt, pepper etc. The spa bath is perminently not working with no plans to fix it either - just worth noting incase that is why you pick this particular stay. Overall, a great simple place in a good location! Thanks for the stay Janine

Perfect property!
I just spent the weekend at this property, and I cannot fault it at all.
Janine was great and replying back to emails so quickly, and make the process so easy. The property is absolutely perfect and so clean! The place was so comfortable and had everything that we needed for a 'Girls weekend away'. I highly recommend this place and will for sure return. Thanks Janine.

Wonderful
I had an absolutely fantastic stay here! Lovely accommodation, super relaxing. I was sad that the spa wasn't working when I was there, but that was only a very slight disappointment, and everything else was wonderful.

Comfortable & convenient.
We spent a few nights here to go to A Day on the Green concert. The property had a lovely refurbished bathroom, although the spa was inoperable & it was difficult to shower in without making a mess! The ensuite bathroom shower was instead used by all of us - and it was a lovely ensuite.
The house had great touches, such as tv in each room, lots of couch space & nice decking for a bbq.
Oddly, we had no hand towels or face washers, but I don't know if this was an anomaly!
The front doors were a little tricky to shut too.
Overall though, a decent place to stay with just a few touches required to make it really special.

Nice photos...but...
A nice house, but lacks some home/everyday items - especially when staying for 7 nights, which we did.
There were no placemats/coasters/tissues/papertowels/serviettes/glad wrap/ alfoil/oven mits. No sharp knives for cutting vegs, cheese, etc, only steak knives. Oven has not been cleaned forever. Fat and burnt food give off a burning smell when oven on. No oven light. Owner says oven will be replaced but when?? Only four hot plates and a microwave for cooking. The cutlery in the kitchen is more like what you would take on a picnic. We dined at the local RSL club and Thai restaurants- their cutlery was much better. The bread knife is missing 2 of 3 rivets in the handle. The teaspoons in the cutlery came in handy when trying to assemble the clothes airer, as it was missing one of two support screws. There were no pegs available. The ironing board has no padding on it, so had to use one of the bath towels when ironing. The iron has been dropped at some stage and the front piece near the base is missing.
Two out of five globes were blown in the back bathroom. There were no hand towels or face cloths in the house. Exhaust fans in both bathrooms need to be cleaned as they are full of lint. The shower hand set needed some repairs as more water was coming out of the connection rather than the shower rose. The bed was comfortable and shower good when fixed. A disappointing stay in a
lovely area. We won't be staying at the Healesville Haven again when we come back to this lovely area.

Hi regarding you complaints. When l met you had insufficient funds by $200 in which I pointed out to you !! As for knives there are sharp ones in the chopping block. I did warn you of the oven issues when we met and to call if you had any problems. But you didn't ! The oven has been replaced so has the iron and the light globes also !My little place is an accommodation not a bnb ,as for coasters and placemats and oven mits ( there is tea towels) l feel they are a personal preference as I have never been ask for them before. Also the clothes horse has been repaired I was unaware of the problem as it still functioned . The price we negotiated for your weeks stay was less than a cabin at the caravan park. Sorry you were Disappointed. I have fixed most problems.

Great relaxing property
We had a lovely stay at this property. We couldn't get the heater to work so contacted owner and it was resolved within 30 minutes - fantastic service! Once it was working, it was soooo cosy. Close distance to shops and the Sanctuary. Lots of birds around and a lovely deck out the back to have meals - thank you.

Comfortable and relaxing
We were surprised at how spacious and comfortable the place was, the beds were amazingly comfortable, we utilised that back deck in the afternoons and lazed on the couches in the morning and evening. There was truly nothing to complain about. Walking distance to to cafes, resturants and winery's. Would recommend to anybody wanting a relaxing weekend away

Lovely cottage!
We spent a very relaxing two nights at this property and found the cottage contained everything we needed. As it's walking distance to town it was very easy to sample all the delightful culinary treats in Healesville.
