Fantastic House with One of the Best Views in Ireland

You cannot go wrong staying here. The house is clean, comfortable and well furnished. The hosts, Philomena and Sharon are absolutely lovely people - extremely helpful and friendly, and the view is incredible. Lots of great places to eat nearby, and Dingle is a great town for music and shopping. Highest recommendation posdible!!

Top Notch In Every Way

Philomena and her son, Brian delivered a vacation of a lifetime. 5 star service. The views - spectacular! The home - perfection in its style, size and structure. Great fit for two families/ six guests. Tig Aigne Cafe had warm scones everyday and best scones just a stone's throw away. The colorful town of Dingle just a short jaunt. Great pics and music! This is a must if you want to see Ireland in its full glory.

One of My Favorite Rentals Ever

My family (wife, daughter (13) and son (10)) and my in-laws spent a week in this cottage in August, 2011. I have rented a number of properties from VRBO, and this stands out as one of my favorites. The home was even nicer than the pictures suggest -- it is hard to do justice especially to the view from the patio of the property. It sounds corny, but my soul felt at ease. Phil was an incredibly gracious hostess, and I would return to this property in a heartbeat.

Tranquillity And Beauty!

I was most fortune to spend a week at this beautiful house in March with family from Australia ,Northern Ireland and Canada. Over the years we have done lots of travelling and have had many VRBO rentals. This house was THE BEST RENTAL we have ever had. The BEST STOCKED KITCHEN and THE MOST SPECTACULAR SCENERY. it was a joy to meet Philomena and her son We enjoyed visiting the historic landmarks within walking distance of this home. I would not hesitate to rent this home in the future. Catherine.

Relaxation guaranteed

What a pleasure to stay in this home. It, and the owners, were as welcoming as could be. We hiked every day, mostly starting right from the house. The scenery is fantastic in every weather -- every-changing clouds, rugged cliffs, churning seas, heather everywhere, cows, sheep, and green grass galore! It was considerably milder than winter in northeast U.S. - so an excellent choice for a winter holiday. It was tempting to stay put and enjoy the view and the peat fire, but exploring the countryside and the unique geology, beehive huts, iron age forts, ancient churches, and beaches, was equally fascinating. We've stayed in many rentals, and this one sure felt like home. The owners went out of their way to help. We would love to return!

“A View to Die For” still beyond the description!!!

NO words!!! THIS Place!!! Still beyond the pictures and description! We thought it was too good to be true and was ready to be disappointed! It just can’t be as amazing as the pics and description AND the price! Owner, Brian, was the nicest! We wanted to sit down and have dinner with he and his wife! To wake up with the sheep Baahjng and cows mooing, the horses on the far ridge and the amazing view! The house was so accommodating with the 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and a powder room! Such a warm, cozy, home! We did not want to leave! Just no way to recommend this beautiful paradise high enough!!’And you are right on the Famous Slea Head loop! Brian, thank you for an incredible memory of a lifetime for our family!!!

Home away from home at one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Dear Philomena, Our family stayed in your beautiful Stone House on the Dingle Peninsula May 20-26, 2018. Our time there will remain one of our most treasured memories. Your home is so warm, comfortable, and inviting and is meticulously maintained. The breathtaking views overlooking the cliffs and water, however, make it one of a kind. We altered our plans to allow ourselves more time to spend near the house walking the beach, and cliffs. We enjoyed waking to stunningly, beautiful mornings, and dining several times at home so we could relax and take in the beauty of Ireland. We didn’t have to travel each day to find the best view - we were already there! And with Dingle town only 20 minutes away, we took in the fantastic local music and pubs quite a bit as well. We can’t wait for our next return trip. Thank you, Philomena!

The Most Beautiful View

We stayed in this beautifful house for four nights in early April. Phil's family were so accomodating and made us feel so welcome. Even though we missed seeing Phil, her personal touches were seen everywhere in the house. The house has everything you need for a few days or for a few weeks. The house is much larger than the photos show. The view from the house almost doesn't look real, but it is. It was one of the beautiful places I have ever seen in my entire life. I am hoping to return next year with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The bathrooms and kitchen were exceptionally clean and everything was in working order. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is thinking about spending some time in this part of Ireland, near the town of Dingle. Phil, please re-assure your son that we did not take any of the adorable baby lambs in the field below the house, even though we really wanted to. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation!

A home away from home with incredible views

Everything was perfect. The house, the location, the views, our hostess. My husband and I stayed with my two boys (4 and 3 years old). They enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the views, walking around the property, enjoyed the fire at night with a glass of wine, our little trips around the area, Dingle, the pubs at Ballyferriter... It is a beautiful property with beautiful views and beautiful people. Everything was clean and was working perfectly well. We would have stayed there longer if we could!! I am sure that someday we will go back to the Stone House. Our hostess was so nice and friendly. We didn't spend much time together, but enough to keep her in our heart forever. I will always remember those days we spent at the Stone House as one of the best memories in my life. I would recommend anybody to take some days off and stay there. You will never regret it. We'll be back some day!!! <3

Dream House, Dream View

My 13-year-old nephew and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was warm and well-insulated, very clean, modern and dry. I mention these things because they cannot be taken for granted in the west of Ireland, where many houses are poorly insulated (read: cold) and a bit damp. The views are as spectacular as they seem on the website. Phil and her daughter took care of us so well. One night the power went out in some rooms and Phil's daughter came over within a half hour after we called. They made us feel like family, they are so warm and welcoming. This house is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Kerry and in one of the most beautiful parts of the Dingle Peninsula. It is a little bit far out from Dingle Town so if you want to be near to the hustle and bustle, it may not be for you. But it is close enough to Ballyferriter -- about a 5-7 minute drive -- which has a good little grocery store and several pubs. And it is in the middle of all this gorgeous scenery. We were in heaven.

Irish Escape

We recently spent a week relaxing in this extremely comfortable and well- appointed cottage on the Dingle coast. We were in complete luxury, as there were only two of us and the cottage can easily accommodate eight adults. There are four en-suite bedrooms, perfect for couples who are travelling together or an extended family. Others have raved about the bucolic views but my favourite was the one of the stars as seen through the skylight over the bed in the master bedroom. Plus, the charming sounds of a faraway baa-ing sheep added to the feeling of perfect peace. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the beach and of a very lovely pottery cafe with wifi service. Phil advises that wifi is being added to the goodies the cottage provides so any iPad addicts will have the choice of taking the stroll up the road for a coffee and a scone to check email or to just stay put. There is plenty to see and do nearby. We loved Ballyferriter and found it had enough good pubs and restaurants on offer to make trips into Dingle unnecessary. However, we did go into Dingle a few times and loved the picture-postcard village. Driving by way of the coastal route in particular is absolutely spectacular. We highly recommend this first-rate property to anyone who is looking for a perfect Irish Escape from urban life.

We have been fortunate enought to rent VRBO properties around the U.S., in the U.K., France and Ireland. I would put this amazing house at the very top. You will not find a more magestic view anywhere on the coast of Ireland or, fot that matter, anyplace at all. Stunning. Ethereal. And house is a gem - well built, well laid out, outfitted with anything you may need, and - again - such views from the rooms. You can even walk down to the sea and feel the fresh breeze in your face and let your soul just take it in. Brian could not have been a better host. If you need anything at all, he is there for you. And as a bonus he is quite the expert on local and Irish history. I will treasure my conversations with him about the history of the area and the state of the world. I would not hesitate to return to this wonderful cottage on the Wild Atlantic Way and hope to do so in the future.

A True Slice of Heaven

Our stay at the Dingle Stone Cottage was nothing short of magical. The moment we arrived, we were awestruck by the charm of the home and the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it. Nestled between galloping horses, grazing sheep, and the sound of crashing waves, the cottage offers a front-row seat to nature’s ever-changing show. It was like stepping into a dream. The house itself is both spacious and cozy, immaculately clean, and incredibly well-appointed. It was perfect for our entire group, from toddlers to grandparents, and offered both comfort and room to roam and explore. The yard became a haven for our boys to adventure and play freely while the adults relaxed with a book and a view that never got old.We started our mornings with local walks (favorites included Cosán Cuas na nEighe, Dunmore Head, and Meditation Rock) and we ended our adventures by walking next door for lattes and baked goods at Tig Áine. This amazing house and the surrounding setting brought us such connection- with the landscape, with one another, and with the incredible community here.A special thanks to Brian, our host, who was not only warm and welcoming but also an absolute fountain of local knowledge. Every recommendation he shared was a gem, and his passion for the area added so much richness to our experience. We left feeling grateful, recharged, and already dreaming about our return. This place is truly magical and we will be back.

The house is amazing. Waking up to the ocean views in the master bedroom. Sitting in the living room or dining room with ample views and a charming fireplace. Everything as advertised and then some.To make things better, after I made a mistake on our checkout, the owner was so kind and allowed us some extra time to gather our items. A true gentleman.
