Great location that gave us a good hub for exploring a lot of Northern Vermont. We love camper life, so it worked well for us having the best of both worlds. Kids enjoyed fishing, they vaight a decent sized bass and some perch. Close to some great hiking and a day trip to Stowe and Danville.
My girls and I had a dream vacation in this lake-front camper. I worried that we might feel crowded, but absolutely didn't - the camper is 32 feet and has a big slide out. We went swimming and/or kayaking/'paddle boarding every day! There is a big yard to play badminton or other games. It was really ideal.
A perfect, affordable choice for those who love (or can at least tolerate) camper life! The only camping-related hassles you'll have are bringing in your own drinking water, and no wifi, but given how lovely this spot is - right on the water, 30 mins from Burlington - those are hassles well worth it. Camper is showing it's age/use a bit - soft spot on the floor, furniture is well-loved - but we will definitely be reserving for next summer. Jennifer (the owner) couldn't be more responsive.

Hi Jessica,
Thank you for your review. I have been book solid, so haven’t had a chance to bring someone in to replace the soft spot by the table. They think it’s from rain and the seal by the push out. Will be replaced ASAP.
It was pretty much as presented and what was expected. Its definitely a camping type experience without having to sleep on the ground.
We used the kayaks provided and we were able to catch perch and small mouth right from the kayaks in the middle of the bay. The marina is just down the street and we rented a boat that allowed us to fish the greater bay and even out into Lake Champlain.
So the location is what its all about. The water supply for the camper does in fact smell. It not being drinkable was ok but it was definitely a bit of a challenge to deal with the smell from the shower and sinks.

I’m glad you had a nice time fishing with your boys. The water comes from the lake and NEEDS to run a while before using to wash.
The pictures of the camper depicted the space very well.
There is no wifi (for some reason I thought there was, probably got confused after looking at so many properties), and the cell signal is very weak, this is good if you’re looking to « unplug », for us, it was problematic, we couldn’t lookup the weather forecast, couldn’t use the Verbo app to communicate with the property owner, she did provide her cell phone, but texts were not going through, and even conversations were constantly cutting out.
The outdoors were not in a very attractive state, cushions left out with the outdoor furniture were soggy and infested with bugs, the locker is in disarray, overflowing with things that are not organised, just piled on top of each other. The BBQ’s back burner didn’t work, so it was a struggle just to get 300F out of it, which made cooking a challenge.
In all fairness, the property owner was great, she got the dock fixed and working after major flooding so we could use our boat, I’m sure she would have worked to fix all the little issues we had as well, but we caught her in a very busy time, and as I mentioned, the communication was challenging (for reference, she responded to a voice mail by leaving me a voice mail, which finally came through a day after I got home…)
Go there to unplug and for the amazing sunsets, otherwise, maybe not…
Ideal spot for 1 person, couple or a couple with 1 or 2 smaller kids. If you end up being stuck inside due to the weather, its not a very large camper. Like the ad for the property says, the water is not drinkable. You may not want to shower in it either, it really stinks. Worse than the worst geyser at Yellowstone, type of stink.
Thats the bad, the good? Yes, lots of good to the property. Fantastic view of the lake/bay. You can sit and watch the boats go in and out of the harbor at St. Albans. Fantastic sunsets over the lake.
I enjoyed evening campfires by the lake. The area is very dark, so the night sky, star viewing was very good.
Very quiet location. The second to last property on a dead-end road, type of quite! The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well.
Located 10 minutes at most to St Albans and maybe 20 minutes to the next closest town, Milton. 30 minutes to Burlington and maybe an hour over to Mt Mansfield and the Stowe area.
2 state parks very close by & one natural area. All worth time exploring or swimming at.
There was a paddle board, kayak and other stuff for swimming and enjoying the lake. There was board games and DVD movies to watch. (most geared towards kids or something you likely seen already, bring your own) The camper was well stocked with little things that one forgets to bring along.
I thought it would be nice NOT to have a TV/internet for the week. Except I arrived right after Vermont was hit with some serious flooding I needed the news.
Beautiful spot with a a gorgeous view of lake and mountains in the distance. Camper was comfortable withe great size beds ( all doubles and queen size). We chose this rental for the location on lake bur t. Unfortunately the week we chose was dry drought conditions an the water was unswimmable, with tons of algae and lake weed. Also for th5 of us we reall needed 3 more ways to navigate the water by SUP or kayak. There is one 2 person kayak which was great and one SUP which we all loved . Soon that means only 3 of us could be out on the water together which was a major bummer since we couldn't swim either. There was one more inflatable kayak but that was very difficult to use. We had fun at Vermont Canoe and Kayak rentals, Burton Island State Park and Burlington.
Our family of 4 (2 kids under 12) really enjoyed our stay. Steps away from a beautiful lake and having a canoe readily available was fantastic. We played badminton and ladderball when we weren't in the water. Accommodations are basic, as you'd expect, but the kids enjoyed the novelty of a "camper van." I think that this works for smaller children and imagine that 2 adults/2 teens would be much too crowded.
There is truly nothing more amazing than a Lake Champlain sunset - and this piece of paradise gives you just that! The pictures posted can't completely cover how beautiful this site is. It was more than what we expected, and we couldn't have been happier with our trip. The camper was just perfect - beds super comfy, living space perfectly spacious for 2 adults and 2 teen boys. The cabana had everything we needed to make the expedition to Lazy Lady Island - and the outdoor seating was perfect for morning coffee or evening family dinners. St. Albans town center is so close by, and has a great small New England town vibe - and it's a great go-between for Burlington and points north. One of our best family trips ever!

Hi Aimee.
Thanks so much for the review. I finally stayed myself for 3 nights. I so love the peacefulness of being there. Hope to have you back next year.

This is a lovely spot. The sunsets are magical. The camper was very clean and comfortable. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful. The outdoor furniture could be updated.

Thank you Ed. Funny you mention the outside furniture. I’m working on that, it’s been a challenge finding things at this time.
Jennifer was very responsive and was very helpful in coordinating logistics. The camper was clean and comfortable. The use of the water "toys" (kayak, paddle board etc.) was great. My favorite part about the property was the location, directly on the water. Jennifer let me bring my boat which I launched across the harbor and tied up to the dock where it was safe and could be easily accessed for lake boating activities.

You were the first renter since the dock arrived. So glad you all enjoyed your stay. Hopefully see you next summer.

The RV was very comfortable for our family of four (kids ages 7 & 4). The setting is beautiful. We loved borrowing the kayak and SUP to explore St. Albans bay.
Enjoyed this spot on the lake. Loved sitting on the wooden swing enjoying the view and the breeze! The owner was available by text when we asked questions and replied quickly. Overall, a great place to stay at a great rate.
We planned a last minute get away when our original travel plans were cancelled due to COVID. We had a 30minute rain/thunder shower and the rest of the time was sunshine and heat. We really enjoyed the lake experience-it is so kind of Jennifer (property owner) to allow her guests full access to enjoy the kayaks, paddle board, floats and beach chairs. When out of the water we could sit and enjoy watching the water shimmer and glisten from the sun's rays or challenge each other to badminton, volleyball or rope toss. The fire pit is set up so nicely to enjoy the warmth on your face while watching the sunset. The children (age/sex: 14/f, 13/m, 8/f, 8/f) were entertained from morning to night with the water, games, roasting marshmallows). I recommend water shoes for kids and adults if you'd like because it's rocky and the children will get cuts on their feet. If I had to say 1 negative thing about the experience, it would be that the next houses/neighbors are very close and could become upset at the level of noise with kids and adults being on vacation and REALLY enjoying themselves (ex: loud laughs, kids fighting/whining, competitive sports games with fans cheering and just the decibel level rising as adults consume their beverages). Jennifer provides you with her direct phone number (but no service on the property) in the event you need something while there and has a love/appreciation for the space she has set up so nicely for many families of all ages to enjoy.

Happy you all enjoyed yourself. When I created this space it was for family’s like yours. One of the groups I had in mind, hence all the water/land activities to enjoy. Hope to see you next year.
Ps. We have Comcast/exfinity for phone and WiFi for this area.
Great little spot in a quaint old town. Plenty of eats, and live music around town. The kayaks, floaties, paddle board, and firepit made for daily outdoor fun.
everything was awesome ,, how ever the ad says there is wi-fi and there is not, also i was told the TV could play DVD,S but could not get it to work

Hi Robert,
I’m glad you enjoyed PierVana North. Could you tell me where you saw WiFi. I see in my listing NO WIFI. Want to make sure that you’re seeing the same thing I am :-)I never use DVD so I’ll double check that. Sorry for confusion, thank you for feedback.

Great lakefront property, with comfortable camper accommodations, just a short drive from good food and ice cream in St. Albans. A few things to note: There is an 8-foot seawall with steps at the edge of the property and no railing. We had to be super-vigilant with our 4 and 6yo because it was a dangerous drop. Owner Jen did warn us about the wall, but it's too bad there isn't any kind of protective barrier there. Also, the camper and cabana use lake water for kitchen/bath/shower (which we also knew in advance), and it smells pretty bad, especially hot water. You can buy your own drinking water nearby. We had fun on our short stay--fishing, kayaking, tubing and just relaxing with the gorgeous view. Jen was very responsive before and during our stay, but we had all we needed.

Thank you for your review. I’m happy you had a nice stay. As for the water, you were the first renters of the season after the water pump was put it. I will see if it’s anything beyond “normal “ lake water. Thanks for the heads up.
