About this property

Eagle Bay Discovery Cottage

This self-contained beach house has 2 queen beds and the third bedroom which sleeps up to 4 with one single bed and a bunk bed with double base and single top bunk. Blankets/Doonas and pillows are supplied. Linen (sheets and towels) can be ordered at a cost of $25 per person, if you advise us of numbers and which beds will be used.

There is one newly renovated bathroom (2020), 2 toilets, ample living space and a large kitchen area with new oven, plus veranda and yard space. A wood fire is situated in the living area for the colder months. Firewood is supplied. There is also reverse cycle air conditioning. Unlimited free WiFi is available.

Local attractions include wineries, breweries, national parks and restaurants, all within minutes of beautiful Eagle Bay, where you can go snorkelling, surfing, fishing and swimming. Take the opportunity and find out why Eagle Bay is considered one of the best beaches in WA. It is only a 2-minute walk from the front door.

We had an amazing time. The cottage was simple and beautiful. Highly recommend staying here especially for the price we paid. Check in and check out were simple with everything we needed ready for us once we opened the doors.

Discovery cottage

Beautiful, well situated property amongst the pepper trees.Very clean and tidy inside, bathroom and kitchen modern and bedrooms are well furnished, would suggest that the front deck could do with sanding as it is very weathered. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Cosy cottage, well located. We enjoyed the stay. Took some sniffing around to discover the firewood in the shed, there was no notice where to find it.

We stayed for 3 nights, as we had a Wedding to attend at Meelup Farmhouse. Just a short distance away AND SO NOT HAVING TO STAY IN DUNSBOROUGH ! Cottage was great and we relaxed and enjoyed. THANKS HEAPS ROD🤗

Good value for premium location

Exactly what we were after. Not fancy but everything we needed and a great location. Open plan kitchen/dining /lounge was great for our group of 8. I think we'll be back one day. Cheers.

Great location

Excellent location and nice &quiet. Well equipped and with a great fireplace and a nice long BBQ table outside. However the property was advertised as a 2 bathroom property and is only a one bathroom with an extra toilet. Also the 3rd bedroom is a converted sleepout and quite cold overnight.

Fabulous location

Great home for 2 families to stay for a Bayside holiday without the price tag of others at the location. Highly recommend. Note however, the second main bedroom has direct access outside or walk through the kids room. 2 x toilets is great withg 8 of us staying. Easy walk to the bay for a swim anytime due to milder weather compared to Perth.

Wonderful location

Perfect location for short walk to stunning beach, and suited location of our wedding venue. Could have done with a few more details on line of what was provided, ie iron and board. Only criticism is blankets and doona covers were badly stained. We took our own sheets and towels. Location was fabulous.

Linen wasn’t included, had to pay extra which I chose but ended up being a pain to have to make beds after a long drive and pack up again when leaving. No fire wood available to use for the fire place. No tea or coffee available either which isn’t very welcoming after a long drive and no shop in eagle bay to get some easily. Nice and spacious though and close to beach, good for families.

Short walk to the beach that is like being in a paradise Manage to throw aine in but not many fish only small kids had a ball though short drive to the eat outs and pubs short drive to meelup Beach great location to stay.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The property is an older and comfortable, functional and in a good location. It was a good base for exploring this corner. Possibly a little costly for a couple, but as it sleeps 8, cost/person could be ok!

In a sea of million dollar properties, Eagle Bay discovery Cottage is out of place; however it does have a wood heater, lots of firewood and a great location.
