Fantastic place to stay
Stayed at the cottage for 10 days and it was terrific. The place is very clean, has two very spacious bedrooms, a dining room, great living room and kitchen - although we mainly used the new BBQ out the back. Close to all restaurants, the Workers Club and the RSL. Neil was very helpful throughout our stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Cheers, Paul

A beautiful old house with everything you need and was very clean and tidy. Lots of things in the house for the kids to play with and watch on tv. Close to everything, shops, beach, fishing, restaurants etc. I highly recommend this property

Thank you Tammy for your kind review and for taking such good care of our holiday home. We would love to host you and your family again anytime. Neil.
The property was comfortable enough and pleasant. However it could have done with a vacuum prior. Garden needs weeding.

Quentin thanks for your review. Your feedback is most welcome. I’ve passed your comment onto our cleaning team and we will address your concerns so future guests see our property in its best light upon entry. Gardening has been very difficult with the excess rain we’ve been having but hopefully with some fine weather we can get the team in there to do the weeding. Thanks again for your feedback and I hope we can host you again in the future. Neil.

Overpriced for what you get.
House and yard did not present well at all. The interior had a musky smell and needed a prolonged airing. BBQ was in a disgraceful condition, yard looked unkempt, the bedroom wardrobes were full of someone's clothes negating any use. The laundry and various other rooms had someone's possessions stored in available nooks and crannies. To finish on a positive - we only stayed one night!

Response from VrboOwner on 6 March 2020
Barry thanks for taking the time to send a review. We are sorry that your stay was not as you expected. The house is our holiday home, and hence it is not used regularly in winter. So I guess it may have been a little stuffy. We will make sure it is aired in the future before guests arrive during the winter months. We regularly have the yard maintained, but again in winter it does get a little less attention. We will investigate the BBQ and look to refurbish it or get a new one asap. As it is our holiday home, we keep additional linen for extra guests in the wardrobes. We will look to get a separate linen press, as we agree that using the wardrobes for linen may be restrictive for guests. We also have a lot of things in the house for our guests to use - these include prams and baby equipment. All the items in the house are for guest use, including games, toys, books, videos, DVDs and music. We will look to store some of these in a more out of the way places. Our other guests over many years have indicated they appreciated the homely feel, but that comes down to personal preference. Once again, thanks for taking the time to offer your feedback, it is appreciated. Regards, Neil.

The property is olde worlde and reminded me of houses I lived in as a child. It was comfortable & everything we needed was available. Swansea is definitely a wonderful part of NSW.

Quite roomy & comfortable
Every room was well appointed and clean but there was evidence of cockroach infestation which is understanderble given the age and location of the premises.
