Positioned at the very end of one of Leura's finest tree lined streets, this retreat commands magnificent uninterrupted views across the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park towards Wentworth Falls.

Sitting on 1350 square metres with a sunny north /east aspect, the Black Cockatoo Retreat is a contemporary country style 5 bedroom residence surrounded by delightful gardens.The property is peaceful and private, with tree lined fencing, large electronic security gates, and a monitored security system.

The exceptional ambience of this property must be experienced. Spectacular views of the valley are on show from the living /dining area, the outdoor courtyard, the sitting room, and the master bedroom. The crystal clean air, the morning mist in the valley, the quality of daylight, the sounds of native birds and the colourful garden all combine to awaken the senses in way that both relaxes and revitalises.

The ground level of the retreat comprises a large bedroom with king bed, a stylish, well equipped granite kitchen, a lovely living /dining area featuring a handsomeFrench provincial dining table and wood fireplace. French doors open out to a large covered courtyard area with fabulous garden and valley views.The mezzanine level boasts a spacious family entertainment area and a stylishly furnished sitting room. The first level comprises two bedrooms with queen beds, one single trundle, one single bed and a family sized bathroom. The top level showcases a huge master bedroom with king size bed, TV/Apple TV and spacious relaxation area, a walk in robe and bathroom. Also, adjacent to the walk in robe and bathroom is an additional queen bed suite, extending maximum occupancy to 13.

A fabulous house for our girls weekend away. Very clean, roomy and all necessities included. We walked to Sublime point, with awesome views. Walked into Leura town, hilly but gorgeous surrounds. We highly recommend this house, and look forward to returning in the future.

Very enjoyable stay

Our group of 8 stayed here for the UTMB event in May 2023. The house is in a beautiful location on the edge of a valley with gorgeous sunrise views. It is a spacious home, with a great outdoor dining area, lovely gardens, well appointed kitchen and living area, wood fire and central heating. The owners were easy to contract and very helpful. We would be very happy to stay again.

Lovely home in Leura

Black Cockatoo Retreat was a wonderful place to stay. This was an annual re-union of ten ladies. The property was clean with ample amenities. The beds were very comfortable. It's a wondereful walk to Sublime Point lookout. The communication with Nora (the host) was amazing. Nora made many suggestions of places to go and options for food.

Family Friendly Spacious Accomodation

The Black Cockatoo retreat in Leura was a great base for my 60th, with my 2 daughters & 3 grandchildren (all under 3). It was 10 minutes to 3 Sisters, cascades, Scenic World & numerous bush walks & great restaurants. The Black Cockatoo has 5 bedrooms, 1 with a cot & 2 with additional single beds. The top floor master is the best but gets very hot during the day & night. There are additional fans but it still a hot room. The 2 middle rooms are cooler but needed additional fans. The ground floor is the coolest. We went in end of March when it was 25-30 during the day

Gorgeous views and room for everyone

We (3 families) had a lovely stay at this comfortable home. The host was really helpful, communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. The separate living areas meant there was plenty of room for everyone and parents drinking wine by the dining room fire were still able to keep an eye on their little ones playing in the nearby living room. The yard is beautiful and the view is amazing. Absolutely recommend this wonderful spot.

Amazing and calming place

It's an amazing place to stay. The host was helpful throughout our stay. The house is well organised and very spacious. We didn't feel like leaving. It's a 10 min drive from the attractions in the mountains, such as the three sisters.

What and amazing house with spectacular views. Love the location and it was easy to find. We all had a lovely time and were very comfortable (although our friend in the single bed said the mattress could have been updated). Overall a perfect house for a group of adults looking to enjoy the mountains in a beautiful location. The host was happy to answer any of our questions personally. AMAZING!!!!

We've just spent a lovely girls weekend away at Black Cockatoo Retreat. The house was lovely, very clean, organised and close to town. We especially loved the beautiful garden. Our host Nora was lovely and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
