Rose Cottage is ideal for bushwalkers, families & couples wanting to relax in the peaceful surroundings as well as friends and family wanting to enjoy the restaurants and scenic sights within walking distance of Rose Cottage.

If you enjoy walking it will take approximately 20 minutes to walk to Katoomba Railway Station and village shops, cafes & restaurants.

Or a 3 minute bus ride which you can catch around the corner from Rose Cottage. Taxis are also available. Leura is also just a short drive away with its many speciality shops, cafes and restaurants.

Perfect stay

Surrounded by birds (even a Lyre bird in the garden!) and so close to the bush, but then also so close to all the amenities. This is a great cottage for a perfect Mountains holiday.

Wonderful Location!!

We loved our stay at Rose Cottage. As people who live outside of Australia, we were amazed by all the Cockatoo in the area, and other beautiful birds. It was within walking distance of the beautiful Blue Mountains hikes and downtown Katoomba. I really loved the character of the cottage, and we were also happy spending time ‘at home’ there. It had everything that we needed.

A true Blue Mountains retreat

Rose Cottage is such a lovely home - very comfortable and private, in a gorgeous garden setting that we would have loved to sit and wander in, if it hadn't been a rainy weekend. We were a mix of ages, from 8 to 70, and we all found a place that was just right.

Everything about this is Awesome

We are so lucky Marilla offers Rose Cottage to others. The property is tastefully decorated, beautifully presented and its location makes walking to attractions an option. My family and I had a restful and comfortable stay, complete with Lyrebird in the garden 😁

We loved our stay in Rose cottage. It was even better than the photos with an open plan kitchen/dining and living area opening up to a lovely back garden. Walks started 5 minutes away and it was super quiet. Communication with Marilla was easy and prompt. Love to come back in summer!

Bright and Cozy

Rose Cottage was a delightful property, a real atmosphere of beautiful, old Katoomba in its glory. All the rooms were gorgeously decorated and very inviting and the garden was just wonderful. The house was warm and filled with fresh flowers. Complimentary wine and chocolte was a lovely touch.

Tranquil location

We really enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. Marilla was a pleasure to communicate with and the property was immaculate upon arrival. We especially enjoyed the quiet location which was within walking distance to The Three Sisters and several walking trails/hikes. Marilla made an extra effort to acknowledge my husband’s birthday which was very appreciated. I recommend this property without hesitation.

Beautiful Rose Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. We would have liked to stay longer and will probably go there again, hopefully for more than two nights. The beds were very comfortable with electric blankets and there was ample heating throughout the cottage. The garden was beautiful - it was early Spring and many of the plants were in flower and the birdlife was abundant. I would thoroughly recommend Rose Cottage but make sure you take a few staples with you, i.e. bread, butter and spreads, also milk.

Short trip

It is a beautiful and comfortable well decorated cottage. We were very comfortable during our two nights stay. Close to most things to see in Leura and Blue Mountains. New big bathroom was great and very nice. Having said that, we thought that for three bedrooms property, at least two bathrooms would have been more convenient. This is just an idea for the host. We still enjoyed the house and highly recommend it. Thanks Marilla.

Charming cottage in great location

Rose Cottage was perfect for a short getaway with my two sisters. It’s cosy and comfortable, surrounded by a lovely, lush garden oasis. It’s in a very quiet location while being close to all of the local attractions. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
