The name of our property is Shanee Prana which means Beautiful Energy and perfectly describes our tropical paradise hideaway.

Nestled below the stunning rain forest backdrop of the Macalister Range, the house is your very own private paradise set amid acres of meticulously maintained lush tropical gardens ensuring seclusion and serenity. It is the perfect tropical paradise hideaway

Shanee Prana is a superbly appointed property, an idyllic venue for large family gatherings, corporate events, yoga retreats or with space to accommodate a marque and guest parking.

As you enter the gated palm lined driveway you will feel you have escaped into another world. Rejuvenate yourself in the sparkling waters of the landscaped swimming pool. Enjoy games of tennis on our full sized tennis court. Dine alfresco and enjoy a cool relaxing drink underneath the large covered veranda or just sit back and relax in the peaceful serenity of this verdant oasis.

Shanee Prana is only 4 minutes from Kewarra Beach and is perfectly positioned between Palm Cove and Cairns for both relaxation and exploration. You can choose between unwinding in the tranquility of our lovely tropical hideaway, enjoying the local shops, restaurants and patrolled beach or explore the many nearby destinations on Australia's most desirable stretch of coastline.

The house is air conditioned and has a fully equipped kitchen capable of catering for large groups and comes with a double door fridge . Included hotel bed linen, towels, baby cot, high chair, sporting equipment, pool toys and games. We pride ourselves on being a wheelchair friendly property. Pets are generally discourage, however we do make allowances on a case by case basis.

Bedrooms: The 6 bedrooms can be configured in several different ways with the master bedroom having the option to be interconnected with another bedroom.

Master bedroom: Has a queen size bed with views over the Macalister Range, LCD TV, ensuite with spa and separate toilet.

Twin singles bedroom: This bedroom can interconnect with the master bedroom

Twin singles bedroom: Enjoys views of the interior garden.

Twin king singles bedroom: The beds can be joined together to make a super sized king bed and has secluded rear garden views.

King size bedroom: Has an ensuite and toilet. There are also 2 external toilets , one situated near the pool and another one is near the entrance to the house from parking area that is undercover.
there is also a hot/cold shower outside of the property near the pool .

We had a lovely stay in Cairns and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property. The accommodation was comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Pool and tennis courts were great after long days. Stayed with a family group of 12 and we had plenty of room to relax! Beautiful property. Would recommend for groups, great home base for the area.Note that the surrounding areas are quiet so Uber is not easy after dinnertime - best to have a car! About 30 min from downtown Cairns where many of the tours start and end.

Perfect Family Escape

Kewarra beach was the perfect place for our annual extended family holiday, it had everything we needed. The house was lovely and the tennis court and pool provided a resort feel that meant we could just stay and relax. We would definitely recommended this property.

Amazing stay at Kewarra Beach

We loved our stay, amazing place, easy friendly communication, safe community. We had three families stay with kids ranging from 4 to 18. Everyone had a blast - kids loved the pool, adults enjoyed the tennis court and the outdoor kitchen/bbq area was perfect for what we needed - we ate outside every night and pretty much every other meal too. Would highly recommend for a large group looking to relax in the beautiful Cairns climate.

Beautiful place in an awesome location close to all essentials ammenities. Place suited our needs to the tee. The cleaners could improve by giving the place a good once over prior to guests arriving as we found frogs in 2 bath tubs and some clothes under the sink in one of the bedrooms but generally the place is awesome and would recommend to friends and family. Host communication was excellent and very friendly.

Relaxing Resort Style Home in Cairns

We had an amazing stay at this property. The pictures accurately depict the beauty and comfort of the place. Calming, Perfect Location and SOO MUCH ROOM

Paula and Lara were a delight to deal with pre-arrival, on check in and post trip. I cannot put into words how beautiful this location is and all the eclectic corners and art around the house made the stay feel homey. The gardens are kept prestine with soo mamy tropical trees and plants and flowers setting the mood of constant serenity. Tennis court and Pool were amazing features will all equipment you need for a great time. The Rooms were spacious, Kitchen was well stocked and the living room lounges were the most comfortable for evening chills and a Wine. This house made our trip to Cairns a definite 10/10. Can’t wait to return !!

Rainforest Idyll.

Lara’s home was an ideal property for our scattered family of 9 to come together to celebrate a milestone birthday. A large double block with with an impressive driveway through a beautiful garden backing on large rainforest ranges behind. Plenty of accommodation to allow privacy and comfort with nicely appointed ensuites. A large open modern kitchen and dining area allowed for our meal gatherings. The tennis court provided lots of family rivalry and a small but ample sized pool to cool off. It was an well positioned for tourism around the area which we took advantage of. A vehicle is needed to to get around and to the local shopping centers. All in all a very special property.

Fabulous family getaway in a tropical paradise

We were a group of 11 adults and 2 toddlers. Spent 9 nights at Shanee Prana. The house is large and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well tended. 20 minutes drive from Cairns airport and 10 minutes to the skyrail, 30 minutes to Cairns and the boats out to the reef, so good location. You appreciate the pool because you dont want to swim at the beach due to stinger season and crocodile risk. Its a little more rustic than the photos show, but clean and comfortable. Tennis court is great but the rackets were a bit sad, and we needed new balls (not a big deal unless you are a serious player, in which case, byo). Its a great house to relax in and big enough to find a quiet spot when needed. Airconditioners and fans throughout. We loved our stay and would stay at Shanee Prana again.

at Shanee Prana you live in the middle of a tropical garden in an extremely well equipped house

the tropical, very open architecture gave us a lot of space and privacy for us parents and our two children but could easily be home for another family in the 2nd wing. you have the choice between the pool in front or the tennis court in the back of the house. everything incl garden and tennis court is very well maintained(!) - we stayed here finishing our holidays but will come back next time for a werk and explore the area from here, beaches are 5min drive, cairns 15min, tableland or port douglas/mossman 1 hour. lara is a very friendly host doing all she can with her staff to make things possible.

Relaxing stay

The house is big enough to accomodate a larger group. We were a group of 10 and our stay was very relaxing. There's plenty of room for the kids to play and the outdoor dining area is perfect.

I fell in love with the place where it is in North Queensland , the serenity , tranquility and elegance. I know you will also fall in love with it as many guests already have..
Since I have renovated it , so it's better inside than it was . Being a tour guide I have been privileged to be to many places in Australia and overseas. I know from experience what people like and how to make their holiday stay very happy, satisfied and memorable in the best possible way.
I am a very positive person , care about people and their needs . Nothing is a problem, would love to help in any way possible.
My interests are practicing yoga( the property is suitable for boutique retreats ),
Love meeting people, finding out what makes them happy and deliver to the best ability.
I come from Eastern Europe, lived in Israel, Germany , and proudly call myself Australian most of my life !!!

Why they chose this property

While coming a few times to Cairns with my work and later with my family, it was clear that this is the place worth spending time more often away from wonderful but very hectic Sydney. The search began to find the gem , that I can call my own, luckily we found it. The position is in very desirable area of North Queensland in Kewarra beach, which is very close to Cairns and all the needs can be satisfied from there being it just relaxing at the pool, beach is only 4km from the property, Port Douglas only 40km , very posh Palm Cove and Trinity beach not to mention all that NQ is offering being the gateway to Great Barrier Reef, Tropical Daintree Forests and all the activities with this.
Having experienced the need to be able to cook while on holidays as restaurants are not always providing all the answers , you will find a fantastic kitchen with all you need to do all your own master chef creations, BBQ is a part of open kitchen on the patio with a small separate fridge, sink and bench.
To work all of this off , you have your own full size tennis court ! or just stay in the hammock all day and watch the nature!

What makes this property unique

The original dwelling was built around 20 years ago with amazing Australian silky oak embossing all the French doors, huge hall way between the main family room and the rest of the property. Being surrounded by beautiful , elegant design with wraparound veranda's , lounges to rest, spa bath to indulge in , or patio to have dinner or lunch with fresh breeze kissing you, makes this place absolutely wonderful to experience with family reunions, small functions or even boutique weddings.
